What was the last thing you watched on Netflix?

How deep? I liked the first couple seasons but then it went off the rails for me. I like Spader but he couldn't carry it any longer.
First season still. It’s so weird how attractive I find James Spader. The older he gets, the better.

I have heard it gets pretty out there. I’ll have to see how long I make it.

IT is very good, but then it runs out of steam about end of season 5 or 6. So don't feel bad if you end it there.

Started in on The Sandman, and really loving it - I've only read a tiny bit of the comic, but it really seems to capture the spirit and is faithful to the source material.

Also been watching Supernatural for the first time - into the end of the 7th season, and have really been enjoying it.

Sandman

Greatest comic of all time, red it monthly as it came out over 20 years ago. Re-read the collection on a bi annual basis and still find joy and new things in it everytime I read it. Like every other uber fan never wanted it to be adapted as never thought it would ever be close to the source.

And its not, not really, they changed too many things and I didn't like that.

But adaptions always do that. Watchmen tried to do a damn near like for like adaption from the comic, damn near closest thing I've ever seen. And I hated it. Had no soul.

But Sandman kinda does.

Wish Murphy was paler, wish his cloak had flames, wish they didnt have to change as much as they have so they are inclusive (loved Desire though, an absolute Delight (😉) and his voice sounds like I imagined it..

But it has a soul, it has the feeling, the heart of the comic and for that I am grateful to Mr Gaiman for being involved in it and most of all a smile on my face because they've done a good job, not a great job, but a damn good one

Realise this has been a page in what is normally a paragraph thread, apologies, its a topic I'm passionate about and I don't see a comic book thread on this forum.

8.5/10

Uncharted. I do enjoy watching movies with Wahlberg and Holland. Something was lacking with these two together. Was very much frustrated with the disregard for the antiquities throughout the movie. Plenty of action just wasn't what I had hoped for I guess.

Uncoupled. I've never been a big fan of Neil Patrick Harris but this was good.

I've started watching "I Just Killed My Dad".

I watched 3:10 To Yuma with Christian Bale & Russell Crowe earlier on. Always a favourite of mine.

Next one I have my eye on is a film called 6 Underground with Ryan Reynolds in.
