When I Was A Kid, you could cut out records from the back of cereal boxes.

You know, 45's. Cardboard with coating. I had The Archie's "Sugar Sugar" from the back of a Honeycombs box. I used to play it on my cool Close 'N Play record player.

I HATED those hates with a passion, to this day I will not wear a hat, I'll get earmuffs or one of those headband things but no hats ugh.
