half the fun was creating your own lego land/town. the pre-made kits take all of the joy out of it.
speaking of...
when i was a kid, i remember getting yelled at and having my lego pieces thrown away each time my mother stepped on one.

when i was a kid, lunchables didn't exist. bringing lunch from home meant a bologna sandwich with cheese (hums the oscar mayer song), some chips (plain or bbq. there was no cool ranch doritos or hot wing flavored ruffles), kool aid in the thermos, and a twinkie. you packed it all into your metal holly hobbie lunch box and skipped off to school.
