Where's Trump's Marbles?

Look, the dude has cracked. He has imploded. Even if you're a down-the-line MAGA, even you by now should realize that he's senile, demented, and arguably insane by now. I personally suspect that he has had strokes that he hasn't told us. The man visibly has gone to seed. You can see it in his face. You can hear in his words, in the slip in whatever focus and discipline he still had, all of it gone. His mind wanders. He trails off. He gets easily distracted. There is something obviously wrong with his brain. This is absolutely not someone who should be put back in as Commander-in-Chief. Period. End of story. The change isn't between two functional adults. It's between a functional adult who, whatever her flaws (and I am well aware of them, trust me), is still sane, versus a raving lunatic. That's your choice. Let's not pretend that the third party options are viable or practical at this time. Not right now. This is the choice before us. A deeply flawed, but still sane and lucid somewhat younger woman and a mentally cracked, senile, unfocused, demented, and deranged old man.

Odds are, if anything ultimately costs him the election, it will be because people got a closer look at this former President and realized that he has indeed, absolutely lost his mind. Presidential health matters, arguably especially mental health. If Biden had to step aside because of his cognitive decline, why should voters give a former President who has seen all of his flaws exacerbated and any redeeming virtues (if any) almost entirely vanished a chance to take the country down with him?

He was riled up, out of his depth and under-prepared. It was all he could think of on the spot, he knew it was a busted non-story.

I remember Rightguide spent a feverish two solid days afterwards "proving" that Trump's comments were somehow "technically true".

I'd have been mortified if I posted a picture of a Haitian barbecuing a chicken and claimed it was "proof" of "roasting cats".

He rambles, he repeats himself, he roams from thought to thought — some of them hard to understand, some of them unfinished, some of them factually fantastical. He voices outlandish claims that seem to be made up out of whole cloth. He digresses into bizarre tangents about golf, about sharks, about his own “beautiful” body. He relishes “a great day in Louisiana” after spending the day in Georgia. He expresses fear that North Korea is “trying to kill me” when he presumably means Iran. As late as last month, Mr. Trump was still speaking as if he were running against President Biden, five weeks after his withdrawal from the race.
