Religion isn't that complex. It comes down to ignorant peasants being told what to do, how to do it, and when. They also get to pay for the sermon and if they don't obey or pay an acceptable amount, then they're going to be punished by some great angry entity with no face or name.

10,000 years later, the religion charlatans are still working that con job. they've changed the names/angry entities and expanded into new markets but it's still nothing more than a con job.

Global overpopulation may be the biggest issue of the past few centuries. If gods exist, then they can't avoid getting involved in that. Their options are watch what humans do to fuck up even more, or try to guide them towards managed population decline. Inducing mass suicide and sterilization may be some of that management. If those don't drop the population enough, then mass homicide and war are next on the list.

There are religions which believe there are more than 1 god. For example; Yahweh is thought to be plural rather than singular. The Hopi believe in the Kachinas. Hindus believe in multiple gods as well. This doesn't take away from my opinion on the subject because those things, like my opinion, belong to the one holding faith.

As for you hurt feelings where I posit there is only 1 god; of the religions which teach there is only 1 god, that god almost universally exhibits the exact traits of every other single deity religion. It would be odd for each religion to have a separate god which mirrors the god of every other religion and it not be the same god. This in addition to some religions teaching that there is only 1 true god.

Putting those 2 things together, you end up with a simple conclusion - there is only 1 true god who goes by many different names/appearances but who is the same entity. This is my belief because no one can submit it as an ultimate fact.

If you believe otherwise, that's your preference but please don't try to impose that belief onto others.

As for the last, no one wants to hear about how much your butt hurts because I didn't ask you about your beliefs. Nor do I care what those beliefs are. They, like you, are irrelevant to my belief.

Have a great evening dealing with how small and inconsequential you are to the world at large and in general.

Christian based religion has always had an out for bad behavior saying that God has allowed free will. Human beings decide whether they follow religious tenets or do as they wish and follow their own free will. It seems to me to be an indefensible type of plausible deniability for God and religion.
