When I first came here, it was to try to learn more about writing. Now that it's no longer an option for me, I enjoy joking with the friend's I've made, flirting with my girl, and occasionally getting my nose bloodied in those obnoxious political threads. I guess it's all just a diversion to make me feel a little closer to something (except for the friends...I've truly made some memorable ones I hope to keep for a long time to come).

There is a little of that. It's quite a 'place,' really. I wouldn't have missed it. But none of the reasons I come here are on the poll, just the same. One does see people pass through an intoxication with the AH into a sort of aloof limbo, whence they fade out into the void. Sometimes they come back, as MlleLaPlumeBleu did, too briefly. Once in a while they are wrenched away from us unfairly, too, as Rhino was. On the whole, if I could keep company with a group like this place is, sometimes, I could live a fulfilled life of the mind.
