Numbers ≠ quality, babe... q.v. Ukraine.Dear lady,
Wars are won or lost decades before the first shot is fired. It takes at least twenty years to build a credible force capable of defending Europe. Today, the German Army fields roughly eight brigades—but only half are truly combat-ready. The modern British Army is so small it could nearly fit inside a single football stadium, and that’s before you factor in readiness, rotations, or logistics. In World War II, Britain deployed several armored divisions; now it struggles to field one without external support. Denmark’s entire army couldn’t fill half the seats of an American football stadium.
For 80 years, the United States has shouldered the burden of defending Europe. Now, as we pivot to the western Pacific, Europe faces a stark reality: without a full military mobilization, it cannot properly defend itself.
