Why is Greenland Even a topic?

Dear lady,

Wars are won or lost decades before the first shot is fired. It takes at least twenty years to build a credible force capable of defending Europe. Today, the German Army fields roughly eight brigades—but only half are truly combat-ready. The modern British Army is so small it could nearly fit inside a single football stadium, and that’s before you factor in readiness, rotations, or logistics. In World War II, Britain deployed several armored divisions; now it struggles to field one without external support. Denmark’s entire army couldn’t fill half the seats of an American football stadium.

For 80 years, the United States has shouldered the burden of defending Europe. Now, as we pivot to the western Pacific, Europe faces a stark reality: without a full military mobilization, it cannot properly defend itself.
Numbers ≠ quality, babe... q.v. Ukraine.

The EU has more people and more money than we do, yet still expects others to underwrite its security. They should pay for and man their own armies. All they need is willingness. That's the bottom line solution.
The idea of a Europe full of large armies still makes people a little nervous.

We get this image of long ships with dragon figureheads.

Ahh..."something about boats".

True, we did visit the Northern American continent.

Oh, is this now I should make some claims? I heard that boats is all it takes. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Okay, I am too tired. Have a lovely day everyone.

It's yours. God Save King Frederik!

I find the hillbilly even more disgusting than the old man. The old man has lost his mental facilities and is in his twilight years. Hillbilly should know much better along with Rubio. Out of all of those cabinet members, Rubio seems to have a bit of soul left in him, it's almost as if he felt dragged into this mess.

Is this how the country repays its allies? Denmark had this country's back in Afghanistan and Iraq. Talking about saying thank you!

That imbecile (Rightguide) believes Russia is dominating the war in Ukraine.

Haven’t you seen that imbecile’s thread on the Ukraine war where he has been declaring (paraphrasing here) “Ukraine is finished” for nearly four years???

🤔

🤣

We. Told. Them. So.

I'd love to see a long term cost analysis of:
1. Negotiating with Denmark to establish more bases and troops in Greenland beyond what we currently are able to achieve
2. Invading Greenland, destroying NATO, losing access to alliance military resources and intelligence resources, full on destabilization of global assets/adversaries
3. Buying Greenland, absorbing all citizens as US responsibility establishing long term governmental functions

Sidenote: by threatening to destroy the NATO alliance, 80,000 troops stationed in NATO countries will be impacted.

I've also thought about this. What will happen to them?
Will they be treated as enemies and jailed as prisoners of war and use as a part of a negotiation? Are they just sent home on the next plain or will they strike from the inside?

My thoughts are that the US troops will be sent packing and the bases absorbed by the home country.

I suppose threatening to annex NATO territory by military force might be a way to encourage the UK and Europe to spend more on the military, but it seems that in the long run Donald Trump's threats will make the entire world less safe.

It simplifies planning that their only potential enemy is Russia.

Or WAS.

And now I read that Karoline Leavitt either has miss understood what the agreement was or simply ignore it.
Lars Løkke Rasmusen says that if she is right about the Trump administrations opinion about what the meetings are for, there will be very few meetings.

I still don't understand why Trump and his people think it's worth killing and getting killed over something they already have?

Trump wants the distinction of being the first president since 1898 to expand the American territory.

That's pretty much it.

I hope the people who voted for Trump is ready to pay the price.
Even if USA goes winning out of this it will cost a lot!

The US of America is about to lose all of their allies.

All. Of. Them.

Trust takes time to gain and build.. but you lose it so easily.

For everyone's sake, reconsider, breathe, go for a walk.. get some fresh air, and then come back and let us talk again.

Do not pass this point of no return.
