No stupid, your contest is a fake. This is the real contest. Why do you have to keep kicking a dead horse. Yeah, I know, you are just that stupid.

Grand_High_Poobah is scouries number one alt. As if there is anyone left who doesn't know that.

I would feel sorry for him if he wasn't such an ass. I'm supposed to be on his ignore list. Too bad I'm not on his alts ignore list.

Finally finished one. I'm going to let it simmer for a bit while I work on something else, then come back and do my second read/first-pass edit.

Still not sure whether it's ready for prime time, and even if it is ( or gets there ), it's in my third name and I won't be announcing it anyhow *laugh*

It's just nice to finish anything after such a long break from writing.

What a beautiful A/V. Just saying.
Anyway submitted a story last night, up this morning. Loving wife and others, lol. Quite long at 3 1/2 lit pages but reads fast.
Good luck all.
With respect
DG

Whoo Hoo!! Welcome DG and Dark (I hope!) So great to have you both..Can't wait to read your stories! Best of luck and have fun!!

If you read mine, you won't know it. Well, at least you shouldn't know it. That's the whole point of a secret pen name *laugh*

I actually have ideas for my known pen names, but I seriously doubt there's any hope of fleshing those out in time.

DG Hear, thank you! She's (JM Leotti) an amazing artist. I figured I can still put up autumn images for awhile longer. I plan on putting up more of her artwork. I love sharing art like this. :) Goodluck with the contest!

Dark, you're such a tease! :catroar:

Story has only been posted since this morning. Lots of reads so far, over 15,000 votes over 500. Comments and feedback 26. Readers are really split on this one. Of course I expect this with a story posted in loving wife. The comments are probably more interesting than the story. LOL Should have more reads and votes through tomorrow. Just so you know, not all comments are always good ones.

No worry about me disturbing the contest resultes. I do like the quick posting for contests on Lit. Have one more story to post next wee as soon as it gets back from the editor. It will probably be Romance. I'll still get hammered though. haha

Good luck to all who enter. Wish you all could win.
With respect
DG:)

Do people just go bonkers about stories where people are cheating? I don't understand that at all.

There are little camps of readers that go bonkers about all sorts of things. There just happen to be more of them in the LW category than anywhere else on the site.

But then why do they read stories in that category? If it upsets them or turns them off, why rag on the people who do like it?

From the context of the comments lately, it appears that the limited hive mind they have has decided to "encourage" authors to post in other categories so they can take "their" category back from the "cucks, wimps, man-haters, and gays"

Of course, the category suggestions they put forth are usually inappropriate for the story

Some few can negotiate LW with success ( DG for one ) but most people would be advised to stay away.

LW is a no-win category. No matter what you write, one of the camps of readers is going to leave nasty comments and vote 1. The only reason to post there is for the entertainment from the less-than-exceptional commenters ragging on the story in badly spelled rants full of Pee Wee Herman grade insults :D

Loved your quote and Thank you.
Some readers take the LW stories literally. I agree with Dark. I've done it all in LW. Killed the cheaters, had couples make up and go back together. (that's a big no-no in LW) Everyone should write at least one story in LW. If you want comments, the commenters sometimes argue with each other. LOL

I try to make my characters be like real everyday people. Believe me, there are a lot of weird people out there. This story is 3 and 1/2 Lit pages and I had a number of comments that said they couldn't make it past the first paragraph or first page, but did make it to the last page to comment. See, their dedication to get their opinon out there. Some negative commenters told me to stop writing.

To be fair I do get a lot of support from readers also. Some use common sense and know it's just a story.

Personally, I rather enjoy getting comments like that. I find them amusing and, if people on that level of taste and intelligence object to a story of mine, it must be pretty good. I probably wouldn't enter a contest with a story in that category, though.

I just don't have any drive to write about cheating and established relationships, I am much more likely to write about random strangers banging in an alley because honestly thats what makes me tick lOL

I actually have two LW stories ( in my other two names ) , and they both did reasonably well. Of course, that could just mean that they weren't interesting enough to encourage the usual suspects :p Just haven't had an idea that fit the category that I felt like writing recently.

There is something to be said for braving the category. All anybody has to do is look at your vote counts to see what it is. While you'll acquire haters galore, you'll also pick up a rather large readership that might very well follow you to other categories. The numbers you pick up in categories like Non Erotic are staggering.

Loved your quote and Thank you.

Just so you know I've wrote some real loving wife stories where they meet, get married and have a wonderful relationship.

You may have to put a couple of twists and turns in the story to keep it entertaining and interesting but if it's written right you will get some very nice comments. A couple of them are in my highest scoring stories.

That's been one of the hang-ups with posting in loving wifes. They don't have to be a cheating wife or husband for that matter.

Per Box...Personally, I rather enjoy getting comments like that. I find them amusing and, if people on that level of taste and intelligence object to a story of mine, it must be pretty good. I probably wouldn't enter a contest with a story in that category, though.

As for putting one in the contest I don't expect to win and I do like the quick posting. A lot of readers have no idea if it's a contest story or not. Very few mention it.

Well, best of luck to you. Oh, I just got a thought. Those strangers banging in the alley could be married to someone else. There's your cheating story. LOL

I write that kind of thing too. I don't believe you can get any more casual and random than a glory hole. Of course, I haven't written all that many on that subject.

It usually does when everyone's (sensibly) ignoring the elephant (ego) in the room when it posts the usual nonsensicalm, lying drivel ;)

I like the way you worded that. Seems like there should be a plot bunny in there somewhere. But then again, maybe not. ;)

If there's a plot bunny in that, it needs to be shot.

Immediately.

Wabbit Stew that the dog wouldn't even eat.

You can bet your ass that I won't be doing tracking in this kind of detail after this contest. It's taking 2 hours a night at this point. Of course, it would be quicker if Lit wasn't running slow as hell for me.
