i have standards, they're just very low... after all, the highlight of my year so far was the failure of my septic tank pump

I suck at math, I was always good at the theories, and proofs, geometry and Trig, Cal, ..suck at adding in my head, but I am most def a geek girl. What do they call that... good on paper?

I can do most math in my head. I don't however like to read about math. I prefer physics, science in general, finance, and history. I have a job that requires very little mental capacity (but it pays well). It becomes rote after a few months. So I pass the day by listening to audio books and podcasts. I prefer to learn shit while working. True geek. these Yale courses will keep me occupied next week.
Good on paper? Not good anywhere else? Grins.

It sounds like you're good at "real math", just not arithmetic. But you can get computers 'n shit to do that stuff for you.

a bit cold up here near the center of the state as well as the geographical centers of the northern and western hemisphere (poniatowski, that is...)

seems to. in order to get it fixed i had to have it pumped, and today i looked and it appears that all the components are working as advertised. only problem is that when i slide the cover to check it out, my one dog becomes transfixed and tries to get in there. don't think i'd relish attempting to get a 150# great dane out of a septic tank...
LOL, I doubt it would ever try that a second time.
