Work (or lack of work) Woes

This thread has been silent. Wish it meant people haven't had work woes in the mean time, but I can't quite believe that.

I'm searching for a job description I'd thrive with. Or which I could do without having mental health problems. Again, this current one doesn't seem to fit, though the team is amazing and and the work is interesting. Well, at least it was just a 3 month trial. Didn't think I'd fail it this way.

Damn frustrating... I can understand the thing, but my cognitive skills are failing when trying to execute. And contacting and asking people around constantly, that's not for me. Didn't realise how much of that there is in this job...

I see it’s been a while, but I wanted to chime in. I completely agree that work can be a pain at times, but I also believe that having a job has its advantages. However, it's crucial that the job aligns with your interests and needs. I've had my fair share of ups and downs in the job market, but luckily, I finally found my dream job. Now, I wake up every day feeling grateful and genuinely enjoying what I do. By the way, for those of you who are currently on the lookout for new career opportunities, I recommend checking out the Mp Govt Jobs Portal. They have a wide range of job openings that might just be the perfect fit for you. It's always worth exploring different options and taking a step towards finding that ideal job.

^^^ What does being a bot posting random stuff on forums pay?

Describing your motivation in some believable way is a pain. Listing your strengths is even worse - especially when having just switched to a new field.

And just 1h to go 😬

I’m self employed, so many of the common work place woes don’t affect me, but many of those are replaced by other issues.

My phone can ring at anytime with a client need or an emergency caused by some faulty part I supplied though didn’t manufacture.

Warranties for parts and equipment? Yeah, those are good because neither the customer nor I have to pay for the replacement, but someone still needs to drop everything else and go troubleshoot a problem then replace the part, often wasting a day or more of my time.

It’s nice not having a boss, but at the same time every client becomes an employer. Fortunately my services are in demand enough that I can pick and choose who I work for. 🤷‍♀️
