Depending on the needs of the job, there are a number of areas you could consider.I have a question
What are some non-salary perks you'd negotiate for a new job. Again, that aren't salary related
Some obvious examples are:
Vacation days
Flex time
Benefits
But what are some other things? Asking for a friend

Your mom negotiates your wanking policy?Edit to add: I demand every place I work have a liberal wanking policy. It’s mom-negotiable. You take me and my wanking, or nothing at all.

Friday interviews are great if the office only works Mon-Friday, cause they tend to be a lot more relaxed and looking forward to the weekend. Which is a bonus for you as they're already in a good mood. On the other hand, you'll require a massive charm offense so they'll remember you next week with the residual joy of your interview. That isn't easy to do if you're not mentally prepped or natural charmer. I'm not, so I know I need a few days to get in the right mindset for this. If you're like me, then Monday might be better for you.Question for anyone who sees this: I just got an email about an interview (yay!). It’s digital so I can do it when I want. It’s Friday afternoon. Do I do it today or will it be all right to wait until Monday?
Those are good ideas!Depending on the needs of the job, there are a number of areas you could consider.
1. Your work hours. Do you want to work 5 days a week, or only 4 days? 8 hour days versus 10-hour days. I spent about 25 years working 4-10's. If that matters to you at all, consider which day off you might negotiate. I used to take Monday's off, but you could take Fridays off instead. You could also possibly negotiate the start time. If you typically stay up later, consider asking for a later start time.
2. How large a company is it? If it is larger and there's an issue with parking, consider asking for a designated parking space.
3. If you are working in an office, perhaps negotiate the furniture - like a stand up desk or other ergo type perks.
Just a few ideas.
Good luck!
Ahh an old job i had offered discounts for equinox and i was too dumb to take advantage of it.- Working from home & a technology equipment stipend
- Paying for a gym membership
- A yearly stipend for continuing education & being able to use work time for it (if work related)
Ultimately is your decision go with what you feel. But these are some things I'd considerQuestion for anyone who sees this: I just got an email about an interview (yay!). It’s digital so I can do it when I want. It’s Friday afternoon. Do I do it today or will it be all right to wait until Monday?
For what it's worth...I suggest reading this, then thinking about how you might incorporate the philosophy into some interview answers...Question for anyone who sees this: I just got an email about an interview (yay!). Wait till Monday so you can do your homework and prepare. If they can’t wait that long then you don’t want to work for them.

Is your background prepped? I'm assuming you'll be home for the interview, people pay attention to what's going on behind you too.
If you can't find a quiet spot with a decent background, then may I suggest you set your cam preferences to cover the background with something more corporate looking.
Those are good ideas!

Ultimately is your decision go with what you feel. But these are some things I'd consider
- did they give you an option in advance. Even if you weren't working rn people have commitment and a job can't expect you to drop everything you're doing (unless its a position that requires some sort of coverage due to emergencies but even then)
- this also falls under boundaries and I'd want to set boundaries right away.
If is on zoom then just do a background.
Someone said do it today to show interest. I'd say do it Monday to show you have boundaries but that you're interested.
We need to also look at jobs differently and shift some of the focus from ourselves onto the job.
Having to explain gaps is bullshit. Memorizing company website is bs when sometimes they dont even read your resume before the interview.
Ah, yes, the STAR method! I used to be a career coach so I know it well… haven’t been doing it much because it’s easier to tell others how to do it than do it myself Thanks for the reminder and kick in the butt to not be lazy! For what it's worth...I suggest reading this, then thinking about how you might incorporate the philosophy into some interview answers...

I'm glad they promptly sent the email! So did the interview on Mon & just got the no thanks email. At least they didn’t leave me hanging.
Thanks! I know I will, eventually! But now you all still have to listen to me complaining about cover lettersI'm glad they promptly sent the email!
I'm sorry! You'll find something!

It's so much worse when you never hear anything back. So rude!!!So did the interview on Mon & just got the no thanks email. At least they didn’t leave me hanging.
Nobody has the right to shout at you in a work situation. If that happens again, calmly tell them that you will discuss the issues when they stop shouting. If they continue to shout walk out/hang up (depending on the type of meeting). Reschedule the meeting and if they shout, do the same again. Eventually they will stop shouting.I've been in my current position about 5 years now. There are issues that have been decades in the making that are coming up to bite us now. Today we had an extremely stressful council meeting where some of those bad decisions from decades ago, they're now trying to pin on me. 3 hours in a meeting of people yelling at me. Just having one of those days where I want to scream into the abyss.
He would get up and go in at 5am, work almost 12 hours and come home and half the time get called in the middle of the night with a question. Ridiculous! I will never, ever work salaried. They literally almost worked him to death. No joke! That's why I'm so cautious about it now!
