walked into the living room to see the tv showing the breaking news of one tower in flames, only to see the second crash into tower 2... shock, tears, a surreal day following the events as they unfolded.

Air Force One flew directly over my house on its way to Offutt AFB. I don't remember the exact number, but it was escorted by at least 4 fighters. They had grounded all flights by this time and the whole neighborhood ran outside to see what was in the air. The only time I tore myself away from the T.V. for the next two days.

If I can add one political thing to this thread, this year I want to add a note that no one will ever expect from me. Please vote November 3 to get Trump OUT of the White House. I will be voting for Biden. Yes, a Democrat for the first time in my life. For those who have been here a very long time, you know that is the equivalent of Hell freezing over.

No. I've been #NeverTrump since early 2016. I voted for Johnson in 2016. Other than that one blip, and this year, I've voted Republican every single presidential election since 1976.
