Fantomex
"Storm? The African goddess and former thief?" Fantomex smiled to himself.
"Professor, could you ask Jean to fill her in? We will need her."
"She is doing so as we speak." The Professor answers.
Havok hears this and groans. He wonders how Xavier and Cyclops continue to hold him responsible for saving the world while they outsource the most powerful X-Men.
"Need her for what exactly?" Havok asks.
"This disk I obtained is only part of the grand plan. The moment it came in my possession I've been hunted night and day. They won't stop at anything to destroy me. But they can't just kill me. They have to get this back. You see, understanding the human genome sequence is the key to cloning. It is what Sinister was able to do that legions of the world's top geneticists only dreamed of accomplishing. Think of DNA as a giant jigsaw puzzle with a million pieces. To clone or make copies of the jigsaw puzzle you would have to copy each individual piece and then put them together. But what if you could only see the big picture, the result of all the pieces together but you couldn't identify the shape and proportions of the individual pieces that made them let alone how to bond them together? That was the obstacle to cloning. The obstacle that Sinister overcame."
Fantomex pauses and looks at Xavier sternly.
"The government's plan consists of this: The knowledge needed to make clones and the technology needed to apply that knowledge. We have the first, we have to find the second. Their next phase invovles mutants. They have targeted certain mutants as pawn and prey. We know who they have designated but we don't know why? Most importantly, we don't know how they plan to capture or use these mutants. That's why I need you Professor. I need you to assemble a team that will help me. With my resources I should be able to find who or where the government has stored this data. But alone they will overpower me. I need people around me powerful enough to stay alive until we find out how they plan to destory us and destroy their plan before they get a chance. But there's another thing."
Fantomex looks around at everyone.
"I make no apologies for my past. I am a thief, a murderer and criminal. There is no legal way to obtain the information we need. And there is no legal way to destroy it. If we are to survive the methods that we will need to employ will certainly make you outlaws. They will target you just as you target me. Everyone you assciate with or care about will be in danger. But if you don't help me, the Weapon Plus Program will destroy us all. If you wish to survive, then help me. But if you do, we won't be playing nice. Don't take too much time."
Fantomex looks at the group and waits for an answer.
