A warm apple cider. For some reason, this song reminds me of an autumn day and a warm fire on a cold November night. I once used the lyrics in this song in conjunction with an essay by Henry David Thoreau for my class. At first, I said this was a 19th Century poem. After reading the lyrics and discussing it along with Civil Disobedience, I played them the song. They loved it.

Warm apple cider is the New England beverage equivalent of gemütlichkeit. It's cozy, comfortable, warm, and friendly. It's what you drink after coming in from chopping wood for the fireplace, or making snowmen in the yard with the family. It melts the snow off your boots and radiates warmth through your whole body. It's the closest thing humans have come up with to a magical healing potion.

I don’t know any of the first stuff but the last part’s spot on. Good with whiskey too.

So I used today's prompt as an excuse to whip up some pumpkin spice syrup and make a latte Way better than Starbucks but still basic. I'm not actually supposed to have a psl or apple cider but I always found that both brought comfort and warmth even if they now bring on allergies as a little bonus

The music equivalent minus the allergies is Oh Wonder. They're re-recording their first album one single at a time and it's just perfect to me.
