2008 News & Views: Discussion and Announcements for the Survivorphile

Erin,
What happened to your scorecard?

I was curious to see how many stories you wrote this year....
.... and it's gone!

Oh... so my suspicion of a sneak attack was correct....

ok... i'll be quiet now...
sorry if I blew your cover.

I didn't think you were doing it because of me, that's for sure.

I was just curious... cuz I am starting to think about next year. I was really surprised at how many points I have with only like 30-something stories (I think). So, with you guys ahead of me, I wanted to get a feel of how many stories= how many points...

of course, it varies.. depending on how many categories are filled, etc.

Next year, I'm going to try to be more consistent.

btw, check out my Halloween story that should post tonight...

It has been so quiet. Either everyone is busy writing their Halloween entries or freaking out over the fast-approaching NaNoWriMo.

Where's kitty?

awwww, nice to be missed. :rose: Been tooo busy stuffing my kitty  and replacing my HDD and recovering allllllll that data. Ugg. Then my firewall revolted and Firefox wouldn't run. LIT got confused with my logons and that took awile to get resolved. All fixed now. Except for the 1040 due 10/15 !!! :(

I added #58 to my Q [I help old friends peek then play with each other] since Lois won't let me post until my SSLUT gets her due. Looks like that may never happen, though I have read stories here that I considered much more violent. Funny, the editor didn't reply either.... hmmmm
:cattail:

kitty!

Sorry for your string of bad luck...

now, come here and play...
I think I have a string... on my thong...

Hello Lit,

Don't you love computers? They are so fun. I use firefox because Internet Explorer was giving me way too many viruses.

Sorry your muse isn't cooperating.

Erin

Yup....Love kompootahs... since I started building my 1st one in 1975. I built it from kits and scrap and learned several big lessons.
One you won't have to think twice about... don't solder nude!

You trying to wear me out again? You want me to bring Princess and K again?
But two dicks in the room is 1 too many, so send your BF to visit BFW.
I'll bring the chocolate and candles.

Meanwhile, send me a photo of your thong string. It may inspire me on the long drive. :cattail:

Whhel! If you're not going to wear them, why should I untie them? Put them on again, send me a new pic with the dangling chad, umm string, and I'll work out how to untie and remove them with my teeth. Make sure you have the bacon ready!!!

Playdough? There were 3 kit uc back then, besides the AppleONE which came a year later. The one I built offered a choice of 3 CPU - 8080, 6502 or Z80. The CPU, boot eprom, support chips and ALL 2K of RAM were on a single card (6x10") that was interchangeable with the other 2. An i/o card and a tv/vid card made up the rest of the uc on a passive motherboard. I built the rest from IBM scrap parts - keyboard, power supply, cables and later added a scrap i/o Selectric (gutted) as my printer. I still have that uc and a few others that club members later surrendered.

They were uc, micro computers then, but soon were called pc. It wasn't until 8/81 that IBM finally put their toes in the market and usurped the name and changed it to PC [caps make a diff]. I have soooooooooooo many horror, um FUN, stories about that whole time.

That fast, 1Mhz, Z80 was king for a long while, In current P4 terms, it might be a .0001 GHz yet it did soooo much long before DOS. A concurrent kit, the Altair, didn't have a boot ROM so it used 24 front panel switches+ to manually key in the code to boot from paper tape. 1 wrong bit and you had to reset and punch them all in again. TMI?????? :rose::kiss:

That's been done...

Is this in English???

Remove them with your teeth?
That's been done...

uh huh. I remember. You forgot the bacon then. It's still fun if we do it reeeaalll ssssllloowwwww.

Sure is. Another lesson was to READ the CAP values! I left off a few 0 and browned out the block when I turned on my clooged power supply. ooops. :D

Poll?

Before I use this term in any story, I wanted to get a consensus from all you experts. Quit laughing!

I've heard it used to refer to aureoles, clit and even an asshole (?) so

What do YOU think a person's cookie is?

A person's cookie? I have no idea but all I can think of is cookies, mmm.

I got the most entertaining feedback I have ever received. I wrote a New Kids on the Block celebrity story and I had an angry fan tell me that none of the band members would ever be that slutty and the lead singers I had for their songs was wrong.

I hope to hell she was joking but I did respond in a nice way.

Erin

omg.

Someone actually takes New Kids on the Block seriously???

LMAO

I got a nasty comment on my celebrity story about a woman dreaming about LL Cool J. The comment was criticizing me for doing a story about a married man. LOL

I guess us women can't even dream about a married man. Not to mention that my story starts with the main character listening to LL Cool J's recent song, "Baby," in which he talks about being with a woman who can't be his-- presumably cuz he's married.

So, I guess it's okay for him to sing about it, but I can't write about a woman dreaming about being with him. LOL

At least it was entertaining. I wonder if she is over 14..

As to COOKIES.... I remember a very old joke about girl scouts selling their cookies. He wouldn't explain what that was so I guess he didn't know either.

When I connected milk and ROUND aureoles, I guessed I had it. The joke still worked. BUT the consensus on the poll is that it refers to pussy.

Hard to dip pussy in a glass of milk, but let's try. OK, Princess and Lady?

I do like to lick the creamy center, deep, but I'm not into cream pies!

Daily pix of 'hamburger of the day' come to me, and most of those DO look like tasty buns, many with the burger peeking out between them - yummmmm.
Some even look like cheeseburgers between the buns.

Gawd I'm so hungry now for a plump cookie!  :p :nana:

You know I'm still worried that someone is going to come out of the woodwork with all these stories and take first place. That would not be fair to anyone, especially BFW.

Erin

I agree.

I feel like I'm following you. I just replied to your post on scouries' thread.

btw, I talked to Laurel about the submissions page... you know, where you can view your submissions. I suggested that the submission page be separated, so that we can view our submissions by year instead of having to scroll though all the submissions. While it is kinda annoying for me, I was thinking about how you, BFW, and other prolific writers have to scroll through a long list. Laurel said that they do plan on improving the submission page.. perhaps by the end of the year. She didn't say how it would be changed.

I'd like to see a change in this too. I only have 79 stories/chapters right now, but like you said, I can only imagine how horrible it must be for someone like Freddie or Erin to scroll through that monster list just to find one story.

I like the way they have it set up at StoriesOnline. They (SOL) combine chapters under one title, then you click on the title and it takes you to all the chapters. Much easier to work with, and much more organized.

Okay, had to throw in my two cents. Good luck all you Survivalists!

Hamburger of the Day?? Huh?

I am not dipping my pussy in milk. You are so weird sometimes Lit. I can see why people think sexually of Girl Scouts. I think the whole uniform fetish goes both ways.

Erin

Brain fart! It's CHEESEburger of the day. I had to drop one of the groups when it went from 20 pix per day to 150 average daily. Some days I got over 200 just from them. I couldn't imagine too many nudes, but it shut down my mailbox 3 times. sheeeeeesh!

RE the subs page, there have been MANY times I too wanted to sort the list by date and group chapters under 1 heading.
