2008 News & Views: Discussion and Announcements for the Survivorphile

I think he'd lurking and will reappear when either A) he thinks we've forgotten him; or B) When someone says something generally that he takes as a personal affront.

Good morning all,

Well our friend BFW ended up moving to the AH. So technically my betting pool is no longer accurate since he has just moved to another thread.

On another note my laptop died this morning. It was running slow last night and this morning it told me it was going to computer heaven. I'm happy that I married a computer genius who is fixing it by taking all the guts out and putting it back together.

Of course that means that I just los 2000 of my NaNoWrMo words from chapter 3 of my story. Thank heavens my editor has chapter 1 and 2. This also means that until my computer is fixed I can't write. Blah.

It's pouring rain here too.

Erin, do you want me to post more of your PM's? Stop sending me PM's. What is wrong with you? What makes you so fucking crazy? Is it because you are short? Is it because you are fat? Is it because you are short and fat? Don't you have a husband, a boyfriend, and a life?

You don't like yourself very much. You're depressed. I feel bad for you. I offered to pay for your therapy. Are you not taking your medication. You know, it's not good for you to remove yourself from your mind altering medication without talking to your doctor first. Is there someone you want me to call on your behalf? Are you thinking about harming yourself? Are you thinking about harming other people?

Listen, if you think you are going to win the Survivor Contest, as you told me in your most recent PM, I already have more than 1,000 points. I have seven weeks to post what I need.

Now, let's address your delusion that you can actually write more than 1,000 words at one time.

You can't do it. You don't have the focus. You don't have the sanity. You don't have the talent.

How could you, the Princess of the 750 snippet, abbreviated story that does not have a beginning, a middle, and an end, and a story that has no character development possibly string together one hundred 750 word stories and make sense of it? You can't and you don't know how. You've never written a story with a plot and now you think you can write a novel.

"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!"

I've written a half dozen novel length pieces just this year. Writing a novel is no big deal to me. I can write a good one in 4 weeks. Now, you only have 7 weeks to write your nonsensical novel. Good luck.

"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!"

Now, I only wrote the above because you just PM'd me, yet, once again, after I've asked you to stop contacting. Why are you stalking me? You follow me from thread to thread. You make your snide, insane little remarks, and you've already been contacted by a friend of mine who told you that you were acting like the cunt that you are.

Stop. Leave me the fuck alone. I don't bother you. Fuck off! Go away, you mal-adjusted little piece of shit.

You're not even married are you? Are you even a woman? Are you a man? Do you even have a baby or did you make that up, too?

You're not even a teacher are you? I have it from good source that you pretend to be a teacher, when in fact, you're a teacher's aide helping with pre-school children.

Now, there's nothing wrong with that as a job and as a profession, but obviously for you to lie about what you do, you are ashamed of your job.

Are you even a college graduated? Did you even finish high school? You act as if you never matured after junior high school.

Now, for the last time, stop contacting me. Stop sending me PM's. Stop e-mailing. Stop leaving your comments and down voting my stories. Stop stalking me. Stop following me from thread to thread and stop making your insane little remarks. Forget my name. Please stop referencing me in everything you write and everything you do.

Get a life, Erin. Go outside. Get some fresh air. Live. There's more to life than Literotica. The people here are not real. Go away.

Erin, I just compared your score to that of BFW. He may be sandbagging, and have stories posted but not included in his score card but, if he doesn't, you have a higher score than he has. At least, you will have after you add your 30 point bonus for filling all categories. :)

You may also be shortchanging yourself by not including points in the Novels/Novellas category.

Thenk you, George, for being your anal self and for checking my scorecard.

Do you think that I didn't learn a few tricks from last year, George. Do you think that I posted every story to my scorecard, especially after Erin did a disappearing act with her scorecard?

Tell me, George, do you think that I posted all my stories and have no other stories to post? Do you think that the only points that I have are what are on my scorecard, George.

You are but a messenger of the obvious that I am sandbagging, just as everyone else did in last year's contest.

Psst, get closer to the monitor 'cause I wanna let you in on a little secret without anyone else hearing.

I plan on lighting up the board the last two weeks of December by posting fifty stories a day for 10 days. Yeah, 500 stories. Do you think I'll win Survivor with that many stories, George, or do you still think that Erin has a chance even after posting her 30 points and her pretend novel.

My only question George is how many stories I'll have to actually use to win or can I save a few hundred for next year's contest.

You're a real piece of work, George.

Erin, I told you that I have friends. I told you early on that you can't trust some of the people you have been flapping your gums off about me. I told you that you were a dumb broad and hear you are saying stupid shit and acting just like the dumb broad that you are.

Now, please stop contacting me. Please stop sending me PM's. Please stop e-mailing me. Please stop leaving comments on my stories. Please stop voting down my stories.

Leave me alone.

Oh, wait...have a nice day. You too, George.

You have a nice day too, Freddie.

I was just mentioning that Erin has more points on her scorecard than the total you have listed. I realize you may be sandbagging. Personally, I think of it as being unethical, and I have never done it, but there's no rule against it.

If you post another 500 stoies, poems and essays before the end of the year, you will probably win. You will definitely finish ahead of me, but you will do that even if you post nothing more.

Unethical? I didn't hear you coming to my defense when I said that it was unethical for someone to come into the contest the last minute last year and dump 200 stories on the board the last two months of the month and then not update their scorecard until January 1st. Where were you then, George when everyone was laughing at me and calling me whinner and a sore loser.

Yet, if I do what was done to me last year, then I'm unethical in your eyes.

So be it then, I'm unethical.

You know what I find unethical George? When someone writes 750-1,000 word stories with no beginning, no middle, no ending, no plot, and no character development just for the sake of earning a Survivor point on their scorecard.

MungoPark did that last year and Erin did that this year. Only, there's no rules against doing that. Now, you tell me, George, as a writer who spends much time crafting his stories, as do I, do you think that it is unethical for a writer to dump shit stories on the board just for the sake of the Survivor Contest?

I didnt' last year and I didn't this year. Most of my stories are in excess of 3,000 words with some 2,000 plus and others 4,000-5,000 words.

I tried to get the rules changed. I wanted to see stories with a 1,500 word minimum. Again, they laughed at me. Now, look at what we have. We have a writer who doesn't take writing seriously making a farce of this erotic web site, just to earn a point on her Survivor scorecard.

Had I chopped up all my stories, I'd have 1,500 points by now. Only, I didn't do that. I'm not as unethical as you think I am.

I even told Erin back in March that I found my old trunk of stories and have enough stories to rewrite and post for 4,000 points. I guess she didn't believe me. I guess she thought I was just sandbagging and playing the game. Only, I don't lie, George. That's one thing about me. I've very honest and loyal, which is why I have so many friends here who wish me well, and which is why anonymous friend sent me a check for $5,000 last year.

It pays to be the good guy. It doesn't pay to be the mean vindictive bitch. I really don't understand why you are supporting Erin, George. It makes no sense to me. You're a much better writer than she could ever hope to be, yet, here she is believing that she's going to win the Survivor Contest and thinking that I'm just going to roll over and hand her the win.

This is what I figure will happen, George, and correct me if I'm wrong. You appear to be a guy with the inside track. I figure that a group of people who don't like me will give Erin stories to post in her name. Only, I'm ready for that. I have enough stories ready to dump on the board that will twart whatever cheating effort they try to do on her behalf.

This is a thread from last year that is about the same as this thread for this year. I did say that I considered sandbagging to be unethical, but within the rules. I couldn't "defend "you or anybody else, because nobody was being attacked.

http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=488115&page=7

I don't know that I have ever called you a whiner (or winner?) or sore loser, but it takes considerable forbearance to refrain from doing so.

I don't know that anybody will give Erin or anybody else stories to post. I know I won't. That would be strictly against the rules and, if I did such a thing, it would be contrary to my interests because I have a chance at finishing in the money on my own. That would be one of the first five places. :D

I find it odd that you were quick to think me unethical for sandbagging my scorecard, George, but when I asked you if you thought it was unethical to dump hundreds of 750-1,000 word stories on the board, stories that have no plot and no character development, you didn't say if you thought that was unethical.

I mean, just as there are no rules against me sandbagging my scorecard, yet you believe that is unethical, there is no rules about posting 750-1,000 shit stories, which, apparently you have no opinion.

I wonder if the shoe was on the other foot, if you'd have an opinion. If I was the one posting 750-1,000 word stories instead of sandbagging my scorecard, would I not be unethical then or would I still be considered unethical in your eyes, George, because it was me doing it.

I'm just trying to get a clear idea of what you think is unethical depending upon who is doing what, I guess.

To be honest with you, George, all of this garbage back and forth could have been avoided if PrincessErin wasn't such a lunatic. I never bothered the woman. By the way, since you are so quick to pull old threads out of your ass, perhaps, you could pull some of her recent threads where she continually goads me and where she continually insults me. I'm sure those are easy to find, George, as there are so many of them.

I've tried to be nice by ignoring much of what she posts, but when she PM's me and e-mails me and follows me around from thread to thread, then it is difficult to remain quiet. And judging by the length of all my posts, you know how much I love to write and what a fast typists I am.

I dare say that many of my instant posts are longer than many of PrincessErin's stories. Hmm...I wonder if I should enter some of these posts as review and essay stories. They certainly are better and more entertaining than the shit that Erin has been posting all these months.

Perhaps, you could do all of us a favor, so that I will stay away from posting all this information, do you think you could persuade PrincessErin to leave me alone and act normal? Perhaps, if you asked to take her medication again, that would help.

I'm going to leave now and I won't return unless you know who starts more shit with me.

You know what I find unethical George? When someone writes 750-1,000 word stories with no beginning, no middle, no ending, no plot, and no character development just for the sake of earning a Survivor point on their scorecard.

But umpteen of your "chapters" have no beginning, no middle and no end, BFW. There are entire series that make no sense. But, of course, they're perfectly fine because they rattle on for a couple of thousand words each.

You really are a piece of work. It doesn't matter how long a story is - nonsense is still nonsense.

I'm just tired of him decrying stories because they are, in his eyes only, too short, when he happily pumps out tens of thousands of words that, when put together, don't make a cohesive storyline.

The relative darkness of pots and kettles comes to mind.

I plan on lighting up the board the last two weeks of December by posting fifty stories a day for 10 days. Yeah, 500 stories. Do you think I'll win Survivor with that many stories, George, or do you still think that Erin has a chance even after posting her 30 points and her pretend novel.

I'll not comment on anything other than this Freddie. As a reader and a writer on this site, I can honestly stay that if I were to see something like that FROM ANY AUTHOR, it would make me NOT want to read his/her stories. It would also not make me want to write for this site any longer if it were allowed.

Yeah, the whole point is quantity for the Survivor contest, I get that, but I would hope and pray to the Literotica powers-that-be they don't approve that many stories in one day, or that you'd even be allowed to submit that many in one day on your submissions page.

Okay, so I realize you're probably joking, but think about it Freddie, if you make good on that plan, do you really think those of us who've sat back and quietly watched this quarrel between you and...well, just about everyone....will continue to be silent? Especially when you'll complain of everyone bashing you and 1-bombing all your stories.

I've said it in the past, as have others, ad nauseum, if you keep letting them get under your skin and perpetuate these arguments instead of letting them drop, you'll continue to get negative feedback and low scores on your work. Not from me because I've never been in on that whole fiasco, but from the same ones who've been doing it from the beginning.

All I have to say is I hope that Laurel cancels the damn contest for next year. The crap on this thread is one of the main reasons I dropped out earlier. It's not a contest anymore it's a bitter war with no resolution in sight. Lit would be better served without this stupidity.

I agree. But don't count on it. The last comment Laurel made on contests was of the "let them eat cake" variety that didn't address the questions being raised at all. It was as if she didn't even bother reading the discussions on that.

I share your concern for the behavior of several of the participants in the Survivor Contest, Ace. I'm embarrassed for them. I'm appalled. It's deplorable. If these people behave like that here on a porn site, I can't imagine how they would behave at a swingers' orgy or when having sex with a stripper. It's shameful.

So, what did the Harvard Review kick you out, Ace, because you couldn't cut it with the real writers? Is that why you are here flexing your editorial muscles and making the rest of us look like illiterates?

May I remind you, Ace, that this is not a literary site and believe it or not, many of the "amateur" writers do not act like Nobel Prize Lauriates when writing...PORN.

By the way, if it helps your anal infliction, you can correct any and all of my grammar and spelling mistakes.

You're holier than thou attitude is much worse than anything that happens on these threads. By the way, Ace, you're tresspassing. This thread is only for Survivor Contest participants. Get out before I kick you out. Now, scram! Beat it! Get lost! Hit the road! Leave!

"Oh and you run like a girl."

If you have a problem with anything I've written, we can discuss this outside this thread. I don't want to get your blood all over these white thread wall. Yeah, I thought so.

"Bye! See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!"

Do you believe that guy? I'm so glad that here's gone. Now, we can finally get down to Survivor Contest business.

"Jesus Christ! Will you look at that? In his hurry to scurry (I like that) he dropped fruit loops all over my clean floor."

I also get tired of the sniping and backbiting and whining that have been a part of the Survivors' Contest in the last few years. I like contributing to threads such as this one, and expressing an opinion, and it's sometimes hard to stay out of the nastiness.

I would prefer to continue the contest, partly because I like the idea of writing in many genres, and I will always do the best I can. In the past, I was not always so meticulous about poems I submitted, but that has changed. Any poems I submit, whether in the contest or not, will be something I wouldn't mind putting my real name to. I always edit and polish stories, and that would not change, although some might say I should change and write differently. I like writing stroke stories, and that won't change.

Box, unfortunately it appears that the original intent of the Survivor Contest - to write your best and flex your skills into new areas - has been lost under a deluge of write-'em-fast, slap-'em-up dross.
