These are stunning! They've done a great job - obviously having a gorgeous subject is most of the thing, but I really like how these are styled and shot. I've been vaguely wondering about getting someone local to do some professional shots for me, just so I've got something half decent to use in my dating profiles ... you've definitely pushed me a bit further in that direction. Was it fun to do?

I missed Cookie's pictures, but I can answer the fun part: with the right photographer it always is! Try to talk to them first and read all the reviews you can find. With boudoir (I am assuming that's what the pictures I missed are) look for how past clients describe their experience, not just the results. Everybody will have reviews raving about how gorgeous their images are, if the client did not like her pictures, she would never be asked to write a review, but not everybody has reviews talking about the session itself.

Yeah, I had it all but posted and hit preview when I saw that cookie had posted. And decided to hold off on the one-man comedy show for a bit. Fortunately, my fur grows fast and five days later, I'm already past the "holy shit, that itches" pre-cactus phase. I'll probably be back to needing to comb it occasionally by the weekend. And back to a comparable length to what you can see on my shoulders by next.
It's not like it made any noticeable difference to the "did I die while asleep and go to Hell?" heat and discomfort anyway.

And in case y'all didn't get the memo, I missed kicking around on here with y'all... some of you anyway... too.

And Kim is not?? Have you seen any of her pictures? If not, take a look at least at her userpic.

Even though I firmly believe that I can make anyBODY feel beautiful both during the shoot and when seeing the results, in Kim's case
the only person the photographer will need to convince is her, everybody else will see her beauty even if she is wearing a potato sack.

Hm... Maybe I should do a shoot with somebody in an actual potato sack and then add it to my client closet

As for the heat, I think the beard can help protect from it, not the other way around. Have you tried keeping it wet? Wetting your hair will not do much, but with your beard it might work.
