Corset Training

Oh wow, very nice! Who made it? I feel like I should know but I can't tell - doesn't look like Alter Ego, but it is leather, isn't it? It looks great, now show us the back! :D

My own training is kind of off and on which has me really depressed. Because of a medical condition I can't wear it for more than a week at a time, then I have to take a week off. I am really upset by this because my dream was to wear it 23/7 but I don't know if that will happen. The brighter news is that I'm losing weight and I'm looking to get some 28" corset(s) now, because I can close the 30" pretty easy!

LOL, you do not want to know the thoughts/visions that flashed though my mind, though I will say they were all good. Absolutely fabulous and beautiful shy, and I am sure Andante loved you in it too. :D

Pictures of THAT don't exist, and if you realised just how camera shy I was, you would give up hoping they ever will exist lol

Lol. Fantasies are always nice. :D

*fusses about her thread getting off topic but can't do anything about it :p *

LOL, they start young these days. I was just talking to my daughter in Oz and she told me she had been cleaning out her extensive wardrobe again, and one of the things she had put aside to be donated to Lifeline was a purple sequined corset she had. She couldn't figure why she kept finding it again after she thought she had put it in the bag....4 times!! Then she found it the 5th time in my 5yo grandaughter's bedroom....with said granddaughter prancing around feeling like a queen in it. She decided to let her keep it, just not sure how she will convince her she can not wear it to school for dress up or free dress days!! :p

It is leather with steel boning, bought it locally in a small fetish wear shop.

Sadly it is slightly too long in the body for me, but they can make corsets to measure, although I think thye are waist corsets and with bust support.
I can't get into it without help which is a real downside, so perhaps a waist only one would be more succesful from that point of view.
The shape of my body has changed in the past year and I have needed mew clothes, not sure I have lost weight as I don't weigh myself but my waist is smaller than it was.

I am sorry to hear your waist training has been slightly suspended.
Do you know if its going to be a permanent difficulty?
Have you discussed your corset training with your GP?
I wondered about their views on it

Losing weight!
Looking at your pics I can't see where you have weight to lose!
But a 28 inch waist in a corset would make you look even more stunning and sexy :)

Overbust corsets can absolutely be made to measure! They are expensive, but if you have a shorter torso that might be the way to go just for comfort's sake. If you want tips on corsetmakers let me know, I have a lot of info on who's good and who's not around the world.

It's not unusual to need help getting into a corset. Doing it yourself takes a lot of practice but it can be done. If you look around on Staylace.com there are good instructions on self-lacing there.

I don't know if it will be permanent or not. I have an autoimmune disease called chronic urticaria, which means I have severe hives all over my body all the time - I couldn't even work before I got proper treatment. They are well-controlled with medication, but pressure on my body exacerbates the hives beyond what the meds can control. So the corset gives me really severe hives. The weight issue is related to this, as early in the treatment I was on steroids for a while.

Some people do stop having problems eventually, so I hope I will be able to do full-time training! Right now I can do a week on and a week off, but that's not much from a training perspective. I haven't talked with my doctor about it - I'm not sure if I could, I'd be a little shy about it!

And that is so sweet of you to say, shy, thank you.

I looked at the sites you have posted in your other thread on waist training to try and work out how to lace it up myslef, and after a few attempts, turning the air a shade of blue and finding body conortions I didn't know I could do, I gave up.

No stamina lol

I do have a short torso which means my waist gets lost in my hips and bust.

I loved the way this corset defined my waist and would really like a made to measure one, but paying bills comes first *sigh*

My waist measures 28.5 inch (72 cms) so its not that small and I know it could do with some toning.

My stomach muscles are non-existent as being pregnant took a real toll on my body. (Yes I know women use that as an excuse but I have never been able to get them back to the way they were).
I had intensive physio and did weight training after both births but with little effect
Even when I was 5.5 stone in weight I still had a stomach that is best covered.

Nevertheless I have bought a treadmill and all I have to do now is use it instead of laying on the sofa pretending its not there.

Auto immune diseases are not fun and hives must be painful, I am sure you said somewhere that it was your choice, not your wife's or Daddy's choice to do the training so I admire your commitment to it despite your health.

LOL, your treadmill and my elliptical trainer should get together and compare notes! Mine mostly gets used as a clothes rack while putting away laundry. We got it last year so we could exercise without having to be stared at in a gym as both of us hate that...but we never use it!

You are correct that this is something I wanted to do myself. Daddy had originally said it would be nice for me to wear a corset, and that's what really got me started. But nobody is motivating me to keep doing it, and that actually does make it a lot harder. My wife will help me lace up on occasion (I need it less and less now) but I think she is more amused by my interest than anything else. And I don't see Daddy nearly often enough to really have any impact on daily training.

So it's all up to me - I just wish it could be more serious, but the hives make that impossible.

Thank you

When do we get to see pics of you in your corset?

I don't know much about this... But I've seen a couple of pictures and it just scares me. I think it's wrong. Wearing a corset and during a while training yourself to have it as it should be worn, sure. I love corsets and they are a turn on indeed but doing this, letting someone do this to you is like letting someone hit you so hard that your leg brakes or that you get permanent scars and not just small ones instead ones shown over your whole body, ones if you go to far, you can't escape from ever.

I'd advice you not do do it but that's just my opinion for what it's worth.

May I respectfully point out-

If you do not know anything about tightlacing, then how exactly did you reach the conclusion it is dangerous? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "letting someone do this to you" and comparing it to a broken leg.

I began tightlacing about a month ago (maybe 6 weeks). I do it for myself, as well as my Lover. It is my decision. I am laced for 10-15 hours a day depending on how I feel. I waited until I was within 10# of my ideal weight before starting; I have laced down an inch at a time- currently I am at 25" for most of the day and I re-tighten to 24 for a few hours at the end of the day. I will gradually increase my time at 24" as I grow accustomed to it.

When I started lacing I had a 31" natural waist. I've lost 5# since then and my natural waist is currently 27". In theory I could really push things and force myself down to 22-23# every day, but that would be counter-productive and unhealthy. Slow and steady said the little tortise.

Since I started lacing my posture is better; I am more aware of eating small, balanced, healthy meals (as to do otherwise leads to discomfort); and I pay very close attention to how my body responds while corsetted. I did "corset surgery" yesterday, as a matter of fact. One of the channels for the spiral steel bones wasn't properly laid by the company who designed the corset; I took the bone out, retrimmed it and altered the corset to prevent discomfort and a potential health hazard.

Do some people "go too far"? IMO- yes. 'Spook' is a bit out there, if you ask me; pipestem corsets (again- my personal opinion) are a bit disturbing.

However- one should not judge all with a corset fetish by the decisions of a few.

Um, I don't agree. And fortunately, neither does my Goddess nor do these wonderful people. :)

GREAT post, *curious*! It's so nice to find another tightlacer on here. I don't think people realize that tightlacers do their research. Everybody thinks we need to be educated about the error of our ways, when really nobody I know who laces regularly has any problems related to their corseting. (Well, except me, but that's a pre-existing medical condition that's exacerbated by the corset, and I have reduced my time spent laced as a result.)

It's also interesting to me to see people who lecture us on our tightlacing while not knowing anything about it or us. Waist training is just another form of body modification, like piercings or tattoos. We want to change our bodies, for a variety of reasons (everybody's different), and we do it safely. I'm sure that even someone who is as extreme as this (and that is VERY extreme, the pipestem is something like 4 inches) took their time and did it safely.

Those of us who wear corsets regularly do it because we like it. It's not really anybody else's business what we do.
