First, an immigrant needs to be a legal resident for seven years before applying for citizenship. Nobody thinks that far ahead in electoral politics. (And, no, noncitizens are not voting.)

Second, most immigrants nowadays are Latino. Those are not a reliable Democratic constituency -- too many of them are social conservatives.

You are right, they are not going to take the guns. They are however going to put some many “RULES” in place in order to get the ammunition or the pieces to make your own ammo….
They dont need to get the guns to control the majority. But then again criminals dont care about the laws so lets make more laws.

Only a minority are really dangerous when armed -- they matter, but you are not one of them.
