Is Claudine Gay a Plagiarist?

She failed to credit me for sections of my book, ‘Black Faces, Black Interests.’

I write as one of the scholars whose work Ms. Gay plagiarized. She failed to credit me for sections from my 1993 book, “Black Faces, Black Interests: The Representation of African Americans in Congress” and an article I published in 1997, “Women and Blacks in Congress: 1870-1996.” The damage to me extends beyond the two instances of plagiarism identified by researchers Christopher Rufo and Christopher Brunet.

Harvard can’t condemn Ms. Gay because she is the product of an elite system that holds minorities of high pedigree to a lower standard. This harms academia as a whole, and it demeans Americans, of all races, who had to work for everything they earned.

Harvard University on Tuesday received a complaint outlining over 40 allegations of plagiarism against its embattled president, Claudine Gay. The document paints a picture of a pattern of misconduct more extensive than has been previously reported and puts the Harvard Corporation, the university's governing body—which said it initiated an "independent review" of Gay's scholarship and issued a statement of support for her leadership—back in the spotlight.

The new allegations, which were submitted to Harvard's research integrity officer, Stacey Springs, include the examples reported by the Washington Free Beacon and other outlets, as well as dozens of additional cases in which Gay quoted or paraphrased authors without proper attribution, according to a copy of the complaint reviewed by the Free Beacon. They range from missing quotation marks around a few phrases or sentences to entire paragraphs lifted verbatim.

The full list of examples spans seven of Gay's publications—two more than previously reported—which comprise almost half of her scholarly output. Though the Harvard Corporation said earlier this month that it initiated an independent review of Gay's work in October and found "no violation of Harvard's standards for research misconduct," that probe focused on just three papers.

"t is impossible that your office has already reviewed the entirety of these materials," the complaint reads, "as many … have not been previously reported or submitted

Embattled Harvard Prez Created A Task Force To Decrease Visibility Of White Men On Campus

Embattled Harvard University President Claudine Gay reportedly put together a task force after the death of George Floyd, with its stated goal being to diminish the number of white men who were visible in campus spaces.

Chris Rufo reported on the task force, sharing his article with a post on X: “Harvard’s Claudine Gay led a task force to reduce the visual presence of ‘white men’ in campus spaces—simply for being white men. They committed no crimes; they were not deemed ‘racist.’ Their ancestry and anatomy were enough to justify their banishment.”

Among the recommendations passed down by the task force was a call to change the decor in some university spaces, primarily in “spaces whose visual culture is dominated by homogenous portraiture of white men.”

That call was directed specifically toward Annenberg Hall, where apparently all but three of the 23 portraits hung featured white men — and none were women. The task force reportedly did not mention whose portraits were on display there, making it clear that what mattered was “their race and sex alone” rather than who they were or anything they had accomplished or done for the university.

The left is the real racist movement in the US. Remember all they accuse others of, they are doing themselves.

LMFAO, I love how the far right media dog whistles land home with you!! They whistle, and less than 11 hours later, here you are. Trumpetting some guys post on twitter as fact!.

If you dig deeper you find out there was no such task force, but there was one for looking at "historical racial injustice".

A person (who nobody has ever heard of) has been harmed by somebody (who very few have heard of) using a quote from a book (that nobody has ever heard of) whilst writing a student dissertation (that nobody outside of the university would ever read) without listing the book in the end credits (that nobody who read the dissertation checked up on).

Stand by for the outrage.

To you? I have no doubt!
Things are not going well for her. The wagons are circled around her despite all of the clear evidence and verbatim lifting of the unattributed work of others, so yeah, it's clear to all but the most loyal, unthinking partisan die-hards and blow-hards, she's an affirmative action hire who checked all of the woke boxes except lesbian.

She is no great scholar and there is no evidence of her being a great administrator.

She would happily expel one of her students or what she did

(especially if they were white and male).

I'll repeat.

This woman, this President, would immediately expel a student charged similarly.

And in the real world, that fucking matters because that Harvard degree opens all sorts of door.

Like it opened the door to this woman because she checked off the right affirmative-action boxes on her resume.

Nobody bothered to check the validity of her work or the content of her character, They hired her on the color of her skin and her sex.

How does it go over when you meet up with your people and you interject to tell everyone that Custer was misunderstood and got a raw deal?
