There is a reason why the attacks are focused on the Chinese and Latinos in this case but in general are the 'Others' whereever they may be found. Trannies this week, gays next week, maybe its Muslims the week after. They know their audience well.
The Asylum laws while problematic aren't really the biggest obstacle we are running into. Look at the unemployment levels we are seeing. No matter how you slice it we are in a good place as far as employment. PAy isn't going up but that's because we have a serious concentration of wealth at the top and any attempt to damage that is met with hostility.
We have a labor problem in the nation that is leading (most famously Sarah Huckabee Sanders) to loosen child labor laws. While it still wouldn't be ideal it would be one thing if we were talking kids (for the purpose of his conversation 15+ will be labeled child. though I have seen laws that were at least proposed as low as 12) and doing jobs that you really can't get hurt or hurt doing. A kid taking out the trash at Walmart, stocking shelves or even cashiering isn't going to hurt anything. Some of the laws have allowed children to work in bars. I'm gonna benefit of the doubt those laws and say they MEAN places like Applebees which nobody thinks of as a bar but they do serve liquor. So okay I'm . . . honestly more concerned about a kid at Applebee's bringing someone one of their skillets (those things are HOT) and getting hurt than pouring a beer and getting tips. We know the Right wingers (these laws are almost all proposed in red states) will have NO problem with their fifteen year old girls getting groomed. I mean we know who the guys who are ordering pitchers or beer on Friday Night are all about with tips. Johnny isn't getting tips with Joanna in her tight pants can smile. But hey, at least Rupaul isn't reading 'Hop on Pop' to them amirite?
Now an economic argument can be made that bringing in more labor lowers the wages for all. While we aren't in a situation where THAT is a driving force in inflation it is realistic. But when you are given two choices between bringing in adults to add to the economy and children and you're adding children you've probably fucked up. Oh and remember when we transitioned from single income households to dual being the norm in America? Go google when Women were allowed, nationwide, to have their own bank accounts and credit cards. By all means lets make it so that a three income family is the new norm!
I guess if your goal is the keep families together making them increasingly financially dependent on each other isn't the worst plan ever but lets call it what it is.
We aren't reversing Joe Biden's policies since by and large there have been no changes. We're talking fundamental changes. Streamline both the Asylum and Visa system so it is easier to get in and out legally. We KNOW where many of these migrants spend their money. They spend what they need to survive within the United STates and the rest goes home. Not all of them (or even most depending on the data you look at) are Mexican in origin but we can safely bet that the CoL (Cost of Living) is lower where they are from than here. Bring them in for seasonal, let them go home when its not seasonal and many will self deport. Not all but that will cut into that problem significantly.
Make the seasonal pass for X months with no direct tie to employment. That takes the power from the employers.
WE will not do this because given two choices, inconvinence a rich white person and punish a poor brown person there is no contest. The so called liberal left won't even put a flag on that hill much less die on it because they are nearly as bad.
