Yes and no. What he really did was claim there were people on the same side as the neo-Nazis and white supremacists who didn't agree with them. Here's the thing: first of all, Trump had no way of knowing that and was most likely just hoping it was the case. Secondly, even if it is true and there were garden variety mainstream conservatives marching alongside the racists, they were still marching alongside the racists. If they really were very fine people, they'd have either stayed the hell away from that protest, or joined the counterprotest. They did neither.
The worst you can point to here is that our side is guilty of too much paraphrasing. Even given that, though, Trump's comments still point to his absolute inability to ever unequivocally condemn anyone whom he perceives as supporting him. See also "Stand back and stand by," which is not a paraphrasal, it's exactly what he said.

You know what shows me that Biden is a better candidate than I thought even a few weeks ago? The only things the Right can bring up complete nothing burgers like this. Why not his actual fucks ups?
1. Why not talk about how he has not stood up to Israel?
2. Why not talk about how he hasn't been strongly behind unions
3. Remember when he was going to fight for 15.00 an hour? I do. He dropped it midway through the debates and never brougit up again like a fucking coward but I rememer.
4. He has negotiated on how many drugs thus far? I voted for some of that European Socialism that saves lives. Where the fuck is he on that?
5.Remember when he was supposed to fight big oil? I think the closest he's come was fighting that Alaska project with the pretty name I can't recall right now. OTher than that he's been a fucking disaster on that front. At least he half assedly supportes green energy. He should have put solar panels on the white house and made it 100% super public.
6. Sure he's made SOME progress on student debt forgiveness but why is that not a big deal. Even if he can't go speak on it daily you're telling me of four squad members (and a handful of other allies) there is nobody that can literally spend their time bouncing between CNN, Fox, MSNBC any independent media worth a damn and between the four of them and their various committees they can't run a podcast like Ted Crus? That four people can't put on four shows a week and maybe even fill the three extra days with Interns?
