Looking back at Poetry Forum 2005

I admit it. I have a love-hate relationship with Literotica. I have been to many other poetry boards, I have gone cold turkey and pulled all my work, petitioned to Laurel for changes, whined to the Poets, started stir the shit threads but but but but I always come back. All in all, this is a wonderful breeding ground for talented writers, and ahhh it is so nice to just be able to fuck around sometimes and show boobs when you feel like showing boobs (oh 2005, my first boob av and Flyguy notices my ankles  ) and no one stands in judgement. Okay I love this place. :D

Thank y'all for making it what it is, whatever that is.

 :rose:

Oh, I forgot to mention my favorite poet (again). There she is ^. I know, I know, I need to comment more. I will. I will! It's going to be a great NEW year for me. I just know it. I feel it coming. Yeah, go me!

I also agree with the love/hate relationship with Literotica. I should probably stay away from the General Board, but for some reason (cough) I need a little more excitement. Of course, we all on the poetry forum have our differences, but what site like this wouldn't? But over-all, I think it's a lot of fun! As far as other poetry sites go, has anyone heard of "Echoes of my soul". I just became a member and now I really don't know why. It's looks so boring compared to Lit.

I don't remember any boobs. Did you show both? Was it a dark, fuzzy photo? I like to compare other boobs to my own.

I had one boob on av display earlier but took it down because... eh

What did happen with the poetry contests?

An echoing soul can't be fun. Besides, it's kind of cliche.

I'm starting to hate the word "cliche". It's all over the damn place. But anyhoo...yeah, no fun on that site. There's too many rules. I do not like rules. I make rules. No, I just rule. Am I saying "rule" too much?

BTW - why did you take that AV down of your boob? I thought it looked seductive. Another question: did I notice your nipple pierced or was I seeing things?

I'm starting to hate this AV already. <grins>

I like cliche. It's like quiche.
It doesn't have to make sense.

The nipple is clamped but it does looked pierced in the av. I took it down because of the belly. I have tummy issues. I have many issues.

I have belly issues too. Just give the kids a great big hug and say thank you. But seriously, by looking at the photo, I don't think anyone would know you had children. Consider yourself lucky. You wouldn't want to have my belly. My kids tease me in the summer when I wear my bikini, and they grab my belly and call it jelly. <--that is no lie. Just damn....

hmmm it might have been dark and fuzzy. I have issues too. :)

I actually had a couple boob pictures up and even had photos of my boobs- highly manipulated of course-- featured at another site. Boobs are fun.

okay there is the boob. I just had a lacy boob av up, I am thinking you ignore my AV's Eve.

Lacy boob? I didn't see that. I see a boob now. I can't tell much about it. C cup? Oh, I have a black and white boob photo that I need to go dig up so I can get rid of my tree trunk av. Boobs are fun. :D

I admit nothing, Agnes.

I painted my toenails in Photoshop on one av. They looked so bare and boring. I think I admitted it to Pat Carrington, too.

We had a smithpeter poetry contest.

There are a lot of highlights (and lowlights) and wonderful new poets joined the forum, but I think doing that contest made me the happiest.
I'm looking at some of the 2005 threads. I had forgotten about 1201's interact threads.

Damn! Are we in 2005? I sure gotta get me a new calendar!

In my heart it's still around 1975 and, damn, that's before half of the people here were even born.

Sigh.

:)

In my mind it is still 1996

How old are you?
28

See? It sounds perfectly natural!

I thought my Aunts were only joking with the whole "29" syndrome, but I swear, I think I am 28. It is no joke. Is there some sort of biological clock that runs out of batteries in your brain? The hands stop turning but the sun still sets and rises and dries and wrinkles...

I was listening to a psychologist on a radio programme once and she said, up to a certain age you live and learn and then after that you only remember. I guess she meant stagnate and we get stuck in the morass of mundane existance.

OK This is just too serious.

2005. I wandered into Literotica, having been kicked out of the Salvation Army Hostel for making a mess in my bunk. I'm not sure what I expected to find. Sure! I hear you say! Well I found none of that but I did find some great poets amongst the bed wetters and bodice rippers. It sparked a whole new energy in me for poetry that had been ebbing away through an art that tends to take itself too seriously and often ends up being pretentious. There is an energy on Lit and though a lot of the poetry that is posted is something to be desired, without it the energy would disappear.

Well I am a lot older than you. But in my mind I'm still around seven. I keep telling myself I'll be a grownup by the time I'm 90 or so. :D

leaves to work on poems before Bogusbrig beats me up
