forced acceptance: you appear content to expect everyone should accept that there are men and there are women, or those who appear to be men and women, believing gay and trans people should accept this too, keeping their own humanity, identity, sexuality private and out of sight of others. I can only think this is so gay and trans people won't 'offend' the heterosexuals that form a part of a diverse society. In other words, out of sight, back in your closets, marry someone you'd never marry except to conform for your own safety in the society they are a part of... to bring more babies, straight babies, into a straight society. Deny their own reality, deny who they are and you deny them the freedom to live just like any other person. Being gay or trans isn't 'a fad.' That is the voice of ignorance... but ignorance CAN be enlightened by education.

It's as bad as telling women to shut their mouths and accept that 'true men' have 'needs' and sometimes those drives spill out into the open with the touching, the groping, the insinuations, the stalking, the leering, the intimidations associated with 'men just being men' mentality.

NO-ONE is demanding YOU go out and demonstrate about anything you don't want to demonstrate about. Kinda reminds me of an 82-year old very dear lady i worked with who was shocked that women had come forward at the time to share they'd been sexually violated many years back by certain celebrities and rich/famous people... her words will never leave me: "Why would they do that now?
