“No one told us from the city side about the shelter’s coming up,” she explained.

I don't think the border problem is going to get fixed by any President any time soon. Boomers are retiring at the rate of ten thousand a day. The US needs four hundred thousand migrants a year to refill the lost positions (don't fuck with me on the math). The problem is they are unskilled and currently hundreds of thousands of employed are being laid off because of the recession. Amazingly the number of new illegal hires are almost the same as those being laid off. I reckon it's better to pay an illegal less and train them on the job while the Government supports them. It keeps wages down across the board.
