Prayers and thoughts needed.

Congratulations Quoll! You have a beautiful new son there my friend. I'm thrilled to bits for you, Poss and your boys.

You have been blessed yet again.

A wee bit of heaven

A wee bit of heaven
drifted down from above-
A handful of happiness,
a heart full of love.

The mystery of life,
so sacred and sweet-
The giver of joy
so deep and complete.

Precious and priceless,
so lovable, too-
The world's sweetest miracle,
baby, is you.

Such wonderful news quoll. I'm so happy for you, Possy and your boys. Good to hear everyone is fine. I'll add another vote for the fact that little foot is adorable...and very tiny.

Enjoy your new son quoll.

He's so precious quoll! :rose:

Congratulations again and thank you for sharing your miracle with all of us!

Congrats, the only time I can recall crying was when I held my newborn son. They are truly miracles. :D

Thank you all once again for your support and thoughts, I can't tell you how much help it has been to open up these pages and read all your advice and and to take on board all the strength that has flowed from your words. ( Hmm guess I just did. On a side note I can't tell you how tired I am right now, between travelling to the city and back over the weekend, plus work last night/this morning as well as picking up some sort of particularly nasty bug or flu (praise be the chemist who came up with ibuprofen) I'm pretty knackered but I most likely have tomorrow off, anyway the point of this little ramble is to warn you that I may start to ramble as I am want to do when I am tired.)
Anyway... a few snippets of what's been happening.
All visitors were excluded until our boys arrived on Sat, we had promised them that they would be the first to see LF.
The tears in our 9 year olds eyes as his little brother held onto his finger (It may just be a reflex but it blew me away too, especially the fact that his whole hand does not fit around my little finger), when asked what he thinks of him "Gorgeous and wow he is just, just so small."

Our soon to be five year olds determination to remove whatever it was that was stuck to LF's head, he was prepared to take on all comers be they doctor or midwife, we had a hell of a job convincing him that it was not good for him to be picking at him and that it didn't really matter if it stayed there.

MWY you may be right about the wiseass thing, the staff have already named him Cranky Possum, apparently we do not like to lie on our back, we much prefer to be on our tummy with our head up the top end of the humidicrib, and if you could possibly get this tube out of our nose we wont try to remove it ourselves.

On Fri he was getting 2ml of colostrum from Poss and the rest of his fluids from the IV line, today, Mon, he is getting 25 ml from Poss and had his IV removed :D
The staff are very impressed with his progress, so much so that they thought they might as well see if he would at least attempt to suckle. The little bugger didn't attempt, he did, not much and not for long but he got a little feed anyway, Poss said she was just sitting there watching him with tears running down her face.
That little effort may have just put them both on the fast track to our hospital, so keep your fingers crossed that he can keep it up and they may be flown home within a few days. :nana: :nana: :nana:

{{{{huge hugs}}}} That is excellent news! I'm so excited for all of you! :nana: :nana: :nana:

You're lucky you live so far away. Otherwise, you might find a gaggle of HTC women (oh alright! men too) on your doorstep ready to step in and lend a hand. ;)

The nanas have definitely taken over! It's making me dizzy. :D
I agree. While they are well warranted here, I half expect eilan to come in with a big knife and slice up some of these nanas for lunch.

Excellent news, quoll! :)

I'll let the overuse of nanas go for now. But next time. . . ;)

*braces self for nana onslaught*

No onslaught; one will do nicely. :D

I know she'll never do it, and she'll probably kick my ass for doing it, but a very close friend of mine is going through a pivotal time in her life. She's carrying a heavy burden, and could use a break.

I'm asking you to send prayers and positive thoughts to her. She is one of the most giving and loving people I have ever known. I would give anything to be able to make this right for her. :rose:
