Rapid Onset Political Enlightenment

Although part of this dynamic may be attributed to something like “resistance fatigue,” large forces at work include overall declining ratings – and declining faith in journalism itself. Pew Research senior researcher Elisa Shearer told RealClearPolitics that the number of Americans who still often get their news from TV in 2024 was just 33% – down from 40% in 2020. She said this decline “is nothing as precipitous as what we see with like print publications or people getting news from radio.”

This is how it happened, through emerging social media which Conservatives giddy from having been freshly promoted from the AM band were basking in the Glory of FOX and relevance and did not notice the sand shifting out from under their feet and in return, the Democrats grew complacent in their control until Elon shook them out of their structured lethargy and ossification.

They will be back. With a vengeance. Nothing is won, no one defeated, subdued or even cowed.
We're between rounds and the scorecard is still in the hands of the judges
and every judge sees a different fight.

Obama was the godfather of woke who started the divide in this country and fed the self righteousness of the leftwing tard squad like we see in this forum.

Issue is whereas Obama was a smooth speaker with some charisma, his disciples, Clinton, Biden, Harris are all buffoons who just pushed his schtick too far.

The brought their own ruin upon them. Now their squealing and squawking has that delicious air of desperation and frustration as they cling to something the majority in the country-and I believe its already grown as the left continues to spew nothing but hatred and bigotry-have said enough is enough.
Ahahahahaha!

The number of MAGA "this is why they lost" or "this is what the left needs to do" threads is amusing.

Last I checked, the majority want the party to implode.

But sure...very good and obviously sincere points there! 🤔👍

Truer words haven’t been spoken. Like a Phoenix they will rise out of the ashes. Where I will disagree is they are cowed, maybe even subdued to a degree. If we keep giving them gut punches, and President Trump can make some headway and get the ball rolling, we could continue this win streak for some time.

The Republicans wandered in the desert for 40 yrs before the Republican Revolution of ‘94. Surely we can send them to said desert?

How he got in the senate is no secret. He used a ton of his backer's money for force the disclosure of his opponent's sealed divorce records. In other words, lawfare.
The article touches on that, but doesn’t deep dive into it. It’s a lot to unpack for sure and not the focus of the thesis.

Uh-oh…looks like someone knee jerked and didn’t read the link…🙄

Maybe it’s because some of us study the strategy behind these things? I sincerely hope your side doesn’t figure it out. They sure dropped the ball this go around. What do you feel they did right?

*edit*. The author of the thesis is a former democrat operative who worked in Obama’s admin

The idiot you're responding to NEVER reads any links or watches any linked videos. Why? Because as it once explained, it already knows everything. Pretty impressive, eh?

Just makes the retribution worse which is why I say focus on the future, let the work do the talking and I think that is basically the course chosen although some specific example axes will be symbolically ground as a lesson, as Stephanopoulos and Willis prove; there will be others, deservedly so, but petty revenge is the hallmark of the small, let them stamp that Judas silver to "Democracy."

Victors gain spoils, but the spoiled lose focus.

And to boot, everyone he knows thinks the same damned thing as it permeates reliable social media aka News.

The posts and threads in this forum are what I'm discussing. The people posting them are who I'm discussing. Whether some former guy has a change of heart and you dipshits find it insightful isn't of interest to me especially if you're agreeing with it

Try and keep up.

There are many reasons why Harris lost.
There are many reasons why Trump won.

I'm not looking for your insight on either...but you all sure want to provide it.

I'm not looking for your insight on either...but you all sure want to provide it.-47 yr old Married guy from the Midwest…

Yet, here you are. Bitching and whining. Hike up your skirt and take it Hun. Your side lost. If you don’t want to watch us victory dance around your idiot asses, then don’t post on the threads you claim to hate.

With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, the sheer audacity of a non-White man occupying the Oval Office for not one but TWO terms seems to have rustled your jimmies and permanently damaged the fragile masculine psyche of closeted racists such as yourself.

*nods*

Lol.... You mean all the "sincere" views on the left that keep getting offered up? Who exactly is it for then?

Right......it's about you. And I'm pointing it out.

You can ignore me doing that as needed.

Sidenote: my original comment was not about the article.

The whole party seems to have "Rightguide-itis" (Rightguide has helpfully defined "what the left needs to do now" for over a decade.

Going to be interesting to see how the razor thin Republican coalition will hold together since Texan congressman Chip Roy (the "Rand Paul" of the house) appears to have emerged as the titular leader of the House Freedumb Faction. He's questioned the fiscal bonafides of the Republicans who call themselves "conservative" and Vice President-elect Trump threatened to primary the hell out of him. To Roy's credit (and I genuinely do not like the guy), he stood tall and essentially "Bring it on! Bring the pain, boy!"

Trump actively primaried against Chip Roy in 2022, but Roy won 83% of the primary vote and 63% of the general election vote, primarily because he is the long-time protege of Rafael Eduardo "Ted" Cruz and Cruz is considered a god in the 21st district of Texas (rural area just north of San Antonio).

Roy is also infamous for doxxing Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez' home address a few years back and one of the four dissenters in Congress who voted against the hugely popular Emmett Till Antilynching Act in 2020, final vote was 410-4.
