September Film Challenge 🎬

This movie is a fucking masterpiece. The Wachowski sisters have some of the best most interesting visual style of anyone in Hollywood and really stretch the boundaries of the medium. And the story is good fun too.
I have to respectfully disagree with you… it felt more like it was supposed to be Hot Wheels: The Movie but they couldn’t get the rights so they got the rights to Speed Racer instead. As a Speed Racer fan, I was very disappointed in it.

Under rated? It’s a Frank Capra!! More like forgotten

If you haven’t seen it? Don’t watch this
Just know … Cary Grant was never funnier
Nor Peter Lorre,,
And Capra did “It’s a Wonderful Life”
This one? They should show at Halloween every year

Capra’s others? Some of Jimmy Stewart’s best and others!! Clark Gable, Garry Cooper..

Damn!!

1 'It Happened One Night' (1934)
2 'It's a Wonderful Life' (1946)
3 'Arsenic and Old Lace' (1944)
4 'Mr. Smith Goes to Washington' (1939)
5 'You Can't Take It with You' (1938)
6 'Mr. Deeds Goes to Town' (1936)
7 'Lost Horizon' (1937)
8 'Meet John Doe' (1941)

The scenes with Raymond Massey and Peter Lorre were hilarious.

Great pic (pick)

Not sure I’d call it underrated but I think it is under appreciated for sure!

The first film I bought on DVD, and still a favourite

Is Almost Famous underrated? Doesn’t everyone love it?

I remember it garnering critical acclaim, but most people I've mentioned it to haven't seen it at all. Few exceptions who love it as much as I do being my mom, my 11th grade best friend (I switched HSs 4x) who could talk her way backstage anywhere and frequently hung out with rock stars, ex-fiance and @Mo_Bandy 🤘🏼 I had ex-BF watch it with me once and it "didn't speak to him."

I did not really consider it underrated either. Pretty great cast. Most people I know have seen and even quote.

I deleted my previous Day 5 post due to a "clerical error".

Day 5 Movie that's UNDERRATED

I'm sure if asked what the best horse racing movie is, most of you would say Seabiscuit or  Secretariat. Both are great films but this movie is the unquestionably best movie made about horse racing. LET IT RIDE is to horse racing what Slap Shot is to hockey.
