Sleeping Beauty

Well it's so true!! I'd hate to live in a world filled with so many princesses. One ex-model bulgarian roommate is enough for me.

And thank you, I'll take my cracking you up as a sincere compliment :)

I always speak sincerely.

;-)

I devoured all 3 in less then a week. (But I read...alot...anyway.)
I did notice the first one went quicker, and i lost some interest in the characters in the second book and yes, the third book definetly tied it all together (as it should be.) But I am sad to see it come to an end, she could have definetly made a large series books out of these.
I know it is different from reality of course ... and that is the fun of fantasy. I enjoy losing myself in some made up world.
Sometimes, when I pass the mountains in autumn, and there is a fog over them and I'm the only car on the road (this happens alot in VT.. haha) it makes me believe for a few seconds...
or when I'm kyacking on lake Bombosine or Lake St. Catherine and I pass a little island and there isn't a boat tied to it... it makes me believe in it all. ::sigh:: anywhoot...
Good books, wish there were more, can anyone else point me in a good direction for erotica like The Story of O, The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy etc...?

Thank you VERY much :)

I read the first book in 96 or 7 when I was as nilla as a DQ ice cream cone. Only because I was reading all of Anne Rice. The first couple of chapters really flipped a switch. But I don't think I ever read the set cover to cover. Just a few of the good parts.

Halloween I was an innkeeper in the Anne Rice/ Beauty sence. Paddle attached to layerd skirts ...corset over pillowly top and all. I'm waiting for film to be developed... yeah yeah... i think I'm part of the 3% of people that do not own a digicam.

Reality

What she said!

And Des is correct. They are fantasy and only fantasy. This is not reality in D/s relationships. I think too many new submissives get the impression that this is what it is like. That's far from the truth. We have jobs, kids, responsibilities, etc. These books do not portray reality.

edited for spelling

I must agree with you on this one, it is easy to forget that these books don't include beauty walking the floor all night with a sick child, or working till 8-9pm to get a suspense done so she can support her family. The Beauty series was the second thing to peak my interest in D/s the first being "The Story of O", but in both cases I realized reality was not a part of those stories.

Ok, i finished them. The third book was definitely better than the second.

I didn't like the end at all. I want the rest of the story.

I seem to be the odd person out...but I actually preferred the second book. As to the ending..I too want the rest of the story, the story of Laurent and Beauty would be fab. Laruent was my favorite character in all of the books :)

You guys really have to try The Marketplace by laura antoniou there are six books i think...im about to start number three...they are fiction yes but amazingly true to life. guaranteed to make any sub/slave/Dom/Master/Sadist/Masochist squirm. Here is where i got sucked in...
"If you work hard enough and your devotion is genuine, one day you may ask someone where the marketplace can be found. They will consider you, perhaps ask one small service of you, or a deeply personal question, and they will judge whether you are ready. If you show some slight potential, they may take you home and give you what you desire. Or if the need is very strong in you, they may grant your wish and take you on a long drive, a soft blindfold locking out the light. At the end of that drive, your entire body in a state of sexual hunger and your mind obsessed with the fruition of all your deepest fantasies, you may come to our household.
I shall be awaiting you.
You will learn to hate me.
And you will remember your stay in our house for the rest of your life."

ANDDDDDD thats the second paragraph! Enjoy
