To whom it may concern,

If anyone needs a second set of eyeballs for their SG stories, I would be delighted to help. Just PM me. :)

Vas of SWP

P.S.
Congratulations on the success of Snippettsville on the charts!

P.S. Adhering to the thread, may I suggest that the town without a name include 'Grove' or 'Creek' in its tag? Cedar Grove, Maple Grove, Cedar Creek, Maple Creek... I'm not keen on the types of trees in the Snippetsville area, so help me here. [/B]

Any of those sound good to me. In my latest story I made a reference to an "Oak Hill" section of Snippetsville ... not really a street or anything, I just envisioned that area of any small town up on the hill where the rich people live.

For the river, I'd suggest we use a family name that's already in one or more of the stories, perhaps harkening back to one of the original Snippetsville settlers -- Dresden or Portner, maybe.

Thanks to PierceStreet for providing me with the link. I apologise publically for not having the braincells to figure out every single author's time zone and matching it in. If you are unable to make the get-together, please let either myself or Alex know.

We understand if you are not able to make it.

I will be PMing each author to notify you all of this meeting.

Thanks,

As I work it out, it is 9 PM Wed. UTC/GMT, 5 PM Wed. Eastern US and 2 PM Pacific US.

Is that what everyone else has worked out? I'd hate attendees to miss each other by an hour.

4 pm Central US, so it sounds right for me. :cathappy:

Others are confusing me. Per WSO's time site 9.30am in NZ on Thurs. is 2.30pm Wed. in California. Hope I make it.

Perdita

Made a mistake and ate fast food last night, so home indisposed. See you in the chat room, hopefully feeling perkier than all last night.

Perdita :(

If were going to miss each other by an hour, just how long is the room going to last? I won't be there much before a half our(sp) into the chat.

Gauche

Just under two hours from the time I hit the submit button on this posting and the bell will toll. ;)

I'll probably open the room earlier than that, if you're around and about please feel free to come along in. (maybe up to half an hour earlier... that'll give us a chance to make sure it all works properly).

Perdita, I hope you're feeling a little better by now. :) 'sok if you'd like to bring buckets and drugs. ;)

Now, I'm off to write. Essential to get my half hour in now. :)

See you all soon. :)

Meeting Results

Thanks so much to everyone who managed to attend on such short notice. Not all members stayed for the entire meeting, but it was great to see as many as could make it. :)

Attendees: Alex De Kok, Carrie/Champagne1982, gauchecritic, perdita, Seattle Zack, rhinoguy, PierceStreet and soupwarsproject and yours truely.

We discussed two topics.

A) Editor/editing
Those who attended and joined the discussion liked the new suggestion that I'll outline below.

1. A rotating roster be set up for groups of 4 authors to work through 4 stories in an accept/decling and editing/proofreading manner. If it works correctly, there should be approximately one turn each every month by each SG member.

2. Once the stories have been 'fixed' where/when required they are then passed on to Alex or I for final approval, and in combinations of 4 for formal submission to the Literotica site.

3. Perdita has volunteered to set up the rotating roster (I will be PMing her with a list of SG authors.)

4. If all SG members agree, this roster will begin next week.

B) Announcement

Snippettsville Masquerade Ball
Venue: Green Lake Lodge (see the map on the Sticky)
Saturday Night - 8 'til Late
Tickets pre-sold
Finger food supper
Spot prizes - Best Dressed, Best Dancers.
Unmasking at Midnight.

Deadline for stories pertaining to the Masquerade Ball is October 31st, 2003.

I will be PMing this notice to all SG members.

Once again, awesome turnout for the impromptu meeting. I appreciate it very much.

Should you wish to voice your opinion on either of the two topics above, please feel free to either PM me or to post on the Gen. Disc. thread. The rotating roster applies to all SG authors.

Warm thoughts,
wildsweetone

Accept/Decline & Edit/Proof Roster

Per yesterday's meeting (see below) I've made up the roster for attending to the current stories posted. If anyone needs to be switched, let me know via PM. I'm using the Sunday date for each week. - Perdita

Sept. 28: Perdita, PierceStreet, Champagne1982, Alex De Kok

Oct. 5: Gauchecritic, Wantonica, Perdita, Seattle Zack

Oct. 12: Soupwarsproject, BlackSnake, Couture, Jon.Hayworth

Oct. 19: WSO, Rhinoguy, Quasimodem, Sailorm72003

I'll look at the story thread and the current accepted/edited stories and let my quartet members know what to work on, then we'll pass on the next four stories (if all our four go forward) to the Oct. 5 folk. OK?

WSO: Is this sufficient notice? Do you want to PM everyone to be sure they check this thread?

Edited to switch Jon.H and Rhino in groups 3 & 4.

Edited again: to remove MathGirl (she's out of Snipps); I replaced her to save time asking who might want a second turn.

Perdita you are a gem dear :) *hug* Thank you so much for attending to the roster for me. :) :rose:

I am sitting here looking at my List of Stories. I'm not at all sure you're going to find it easy/smooth going to sort out what's been done and what hasn't. a PM is on its way to you as soon as I hit the send button on this giving you the idea where all the stories are at.

I will await your reply before I PM all authors.

Champagne... note passing? *casting my mind back eons*... oh yeah Note Passing! ;)

Roster changes

I've had to make two edits to the roster post above, just want to be sure everyone takes note.

Perdita

Because I missed most of the chat, was there any decision about what the name of the city would be? Or the river? Or even that mysterious building #10 on the map?
