Blue turns pink

Gawrsh...hee hyuck

seems like we're all pretty "special children". :D

Yep, Blue's a cool dude in a major way. I'm glad we stole him away from the GB.
:rose:

Thanx cymbidia for the help.

You're always so insightful.

I'm just affaid oneday I'll put my foot in my mouth :)

Being a Dom feels so natural to me .... my sub thinks so to ... with her I think we'll never switch.

Although having a Mistress temps me from time to time:)

i was KIDNAPPED!

By weird sexual perverts!

They lured me in with a loving, caring intelligence that made it clear that i belonged here.

Those fiends!

That feeling of "belonging" isn't too easy to come by on the GB, and with a heart as big as mine, i needed more people to love.

Found'em!

The sentiment is returned tenfold, Blue..

You are right SpectreT... we are here for a common goal.. to find happiness and support with those that we trust, we are here to laugh with each other, cry with each other, boost lagging spirits when needed, and to celebrate accompishments with each other.. we are continuing to grow together, which only strengthens our bond. I feel truly blessed to have found all of you!!

Cut it OUT! you guys

Do you have any idea what my Kleenex bill is gonna be like this month?

Don't worry about putting your foot in your mouth around here.... worst case scenario, you'll find out you like the taste of toes.....:D

Seriously. We're a pretty cool bunch. Not to say we don't jump on folks when they get outa line, but we usually take a decent apology or plea of ignorance. Just be yourself, and everything'll be cool.

I think petrel and ST's points about gender ambivalence are well taken. I happen to think that the tests, and not the people taking them, are the problem. We have this delusion that what's common is necessarily and always what's best. Normality is a big trap in so many ways. Deviance is not necessarily pathology, dammit!

Rooster, welcome. We're all one big happy dysfunctional family here. I'm sure you'll fit in just fine. ;)

Exactly. Why settle for being "normal", whatever the hell that is?

:D

i concur Rooster!

Questions are exactly what this forum is for. There's enough material here that just by browsing you can find out stuff you haven't had time to wonder about yet.

You ask good questions, and treat people with respect. You're home bud! :D

Fill your gourd to overflowing, then like the rest of us...pass it on.

We can be the cure for "common sense" if we work together.

And if you DO "put your foot in it" (you're mouth, that is, boy) i have a friend who recommends a little maple syrup.

See ya around, eh?

I'm so glad I found y'all!

Hi SpectreT and all others,

I took your advice and trotted my li'l ass on over here. I feel a bit sheepish for running around like a headless chicken about my personal switchiness. Is it quite fair that I should find out that I'm not defective so soon? Shouldn't I have to suffer just a little longer?

Add me to the bisexual tally. Has anyone counted and worked up a percentage? I'd do it, but my math skills are not the envy of my friends. Or anyone else, for that matter.

I am definitely a woman according to thespark.com. Whew. What a relief. I was beginning to worry, mainly because I couldn't get the buckles of my harness undone.

I did take a couple of other tests, with interesting results. I found out that I am 83% slut, and I'm pretty damn proud of myself for that.

I also learned that I am 49% bitch, which seems very interesting, and of possible relevance to this thread. Maybe that fence sitting score is yet another piece of evidence pointing to my identity as a switch?

Oh, and I'm a Virgo. A nurturing control freak, if I'm to believe the stars. Does that scream switch or what?

A lightbulb just flashed in my head. I'm going to close this post off and start a new one to untangle the emerging thought.

switched off. :-(

I'm so frustrated. I'm trying to express a difficult thought, and my writing is becoming painfully convoluted. I'm going to table it for tonight and revisit it tomorrow.

aaah blue, I'm listening to the soundtrack from Lord of the RIngs as I catch up with y'all. If you have it you'll know what I mean when I say the 'concerning hobbits' track seems to fit very nicely with how I feel about everyone on here. What do you mean you havn't seen the film/read the book/bought the soundtrack?????? are you mad? or just deluded - GO BUY!!!!

(tolkien freak ever since my dad thrust Lord of the Rings at me when I was 8!!)

Spectre - one of these days I'm gonna turn up in the USA and you all have to meet me at the airport with silly signs hanging round your necks!!!!

Sierra - I share your feeling of being blessed to have found this place - and I am glad that people like you are part of it

Risia - gender ambivilance - that would be it - yahay I finally have my very own 'label' wow; do you think it'll fall of any time soon like all the other labels do?

Rooster - don't worry we are all figuring out where we fit in the wonderful welter of gender/sexual/biological terms. I reckon all those scientists and people trying to make out its about scales and measures got it all wrong -
its a big stewpot and I got a bit of meat, a bit of carrot, alot of chilli and a big unidentifiable lump I keep chewing in the vain hope I'll eventualy figure out what it is under all the gravy!

Dear petrel...dear, DEAR petrel

Gee that sounds nice.

i read the books, i'm reading them again. Missed the movie, so far.

(i rarely can tolerate a crowd these days, when i played in the band it was only the money and the Jim Beam that made them survivable)

What i'm wondering is, your new signature line. That's Elvish isn't it?

How very appropriate. i think i would become completely entranced to hear you speaking Elvish. To see your lips form those beautiful syllables.

i can speak a little Elvis!
(Thengyoo Thengyoo vara mush) It's not exactly "entrancing" though.

Hev a loovely dye. (i can do an awful Cockney i learned from Dick van Dyke lol)

One thing you will find out, Freya, is that people here will be very patient and helpful with you as you try to make your thoughts clear. I think you ought to spit out what it is you want to say, and I'll bet someone will know exactly what you are getting at.

Petrel.. you are such a doll... i am very pleased to have met you...:rose:

petrel: I don't know about you, but for me it's a label I rather enjoy. One seeing me would never mistake me for male, but apparently one reading or conversing with me might. I find that deeply amusing. I find subverting such a ridiculous test kinda fun. So, embrace the label or let it fall by the wayside. Either way, you're petrel to us...a label of your own choosing. *That* is how it should be.

Labels: A method by which to shorten one's consideration of another. see also: unnecessary, limited, confining.

-The dictionary according to Tom.

Sorry, couldn't quite resist. We seek and create ways to describe ourselves, feel the subconscious need to share ourselves with another, when words are our primary conscious means of communication. This gave rise to labeling. Labels are a tough thing for those who are not any one thing to accept, and it's even tougher for those who can and do wear labels unthinkingly to grasp that there are those among us who do not fit any particular mold. So, let's all make a few labels up and pass them around to cunfuse everyone!

Oh, and petrel? when you make it to the States, I'll be the one wearing the "Iconoclast or Icon?" sign. I'll let others decide for themselves.
