Okay.. could someone explain to me why women will wear a revealing (low cut blouse) and then cover themselves up?

Talk about teasing...

I'm very tired but, um, I'm lost here. What happens, they put on a jacket? Do a trick and pull the tablecloth off, then wrap it around themselves? Wha?

*chuckles*

I wear modestly, low cut, blouses, btw.

They wear a sweater or some sort of outer wear..

I see.

Do they cover up the cleavage with it or just cover their arms? (My arms get cold but my boobs don't.)

The "new" style is layered btw. That might be part of it. Think Jessica Biel's excellent wardrobe in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. This is the best wardrobe I've seen for a woman in a movie in a loooong time. Someone deserve an award for her clothes in this movie! I've already seen it mimicked at Target and other stores. I can't find an examples on their web site though.

Ditto.

My back gets cold so I wrap up but the cleavage stays cozy warm.

I hate the layered look. I'm fat, ok? I don't NEED extra layers. Just pick a damn shirt and stick with it. *Grumpy face*

(Sorry, folks. I'm in a piss-poor mood. Wear what suits you. ;))

This is more in the layer tops (which just look like layers and may not be?) and slick skirts line.

You'd like it on her, I bet.

You're preaching to the choir here, girlfriend.

I dress for comfort, so even if I am wearing something glam or a little sexy...if its cold I'll put a jacket on.
Mostly when I dress, I haven't taken men into account....I've taken into account the weather, where I'm going and my general mood. If they think its teasing...tough lol :p

Disclaimer: This of course does not include my M. Naturally I will be taking his wishes and preferences into account ;)

In the middle of summer??

You'd be surprised how chilling a breeze can be to a woman.

My hot zones:

Head, boobs, groin.

My cold zones:

Arms
Legs
Hands
Feet

(My husband says we really don't need ice as long as he has my hands and feet. LMAO)

I generally dress for myself with the idea of what I want to present myself as to any given venue such as: Professional, Mom, Hottie.

Ok, but if you go inside the AC might be really cold. Or they could be built like Fury. Or, they might be self-conscious about their arms. It's actually more flattering to wear a dark blazer or sweater and draw the attention to the boobs. Not that I have to resort to such trickery! Ahem...

That can "frame" the boobs nicely which incidentally is what that style I was talking about earlier does too and that's why I like it.

Now teasing could be precisely the point. Sometimes having you wonder what's underneath is far sexier than actually exposing it.... gets the imagination juices flowing... ;)

I don't even layer in cold weather. I'm a really warm person - unless I'm going to be staying outside, I don't even wear a coat.

At the risk of sounding dense, what is "skinamax"?

Hee hee. The cinemax channel plays soft porn on - what, Friday or Saturday evenings - and it's jokingly referred to as Skinemax. (Something like that)

LOL, you and I are alike...I don't even bother thinking about if someone looks at me how they want or expect me to look. Chances are I won't even look in the one mirror we have in the house before leaving either...I am lucky to look in a mirror once a month!!:D

Exactly. Sometimes it's better to leave a bit to the imagination...

And this is from pages back now, but I too am a huge Heinlein fan. Just saying. :nana:

We are sort of running out of serious taboos and just getting into pet peeves now, aren't we? come on people, we can think up some more big ones, can't we?

I often wear low cut blouses/shirts and I always bring a sweater with me. Even in the summer. If the temperature drops below 75 F I am FREEZING!!

As for teasing, I don't have much in terms of cleavage so I have no idea what I would be teasing you with. :p

*sigh* I will admit to teasing. I'm very mean. I know when someone is staring down my cleavage. I'll give them a good look by bending over quickly and then I'll straighten up my shirt or put on a sweater.
I lead a boring life. I have to get my kicks somehow. :D

There's the converse question, too - should death row inmates be eligible to receive organ transplants if they are ill?
Hell no.
Instead of letting them be fed, housed clothed and all that, keep them in the cages that were built for them and let them Rot!
