Lovecraft68 is, perhaps, the nastiest troll on Literotica. Go over to the Author's hangout and see his opinion of Loving Wives readers and writers. He is constantly railing against LW writers and readers, calling everyone here "incels," trying to get the site to run everyone off and prevent them from reading commenting or writing. The nastiest rat in the shit house, that's Lovecraft68. I suggest that readers give him all the respect he gives others: one star and a fuck you, bitch.

The only thing I would say that differs from the OP is people like this don't have to be authors, there are plenty of ghosters on the forum. I think I did a thread about this because it was part of why I tossed the story out there.

Maybe I should put Nastiest Rat in the shithouse in my sig.

I don't agree with this at all. I have only ever had one userid that I use for everything. I don't hide anything. If people don't like what I write here and decide they want to bomb my stories, they can do that. I think it's a really shitty, cowardly way to behave, but I don't worry about it, and if people have done it then it hasn't affected me in any way.

I think people worry way too much in this forum. Just write stories and have fun. If you get some negative votes or comments, so be it. Move on to the next story. The best revenge is writing well.

That's why I post to LW. It makes their day! I've provided a small light in a 1-bombers otherwise dark existence. I give them a reason to continue existing, ... even though some might think they shouldn't.

It's never been an issue for me, but then I don't have an alt and don't go around slamming other authors anonymously in Comments - although I suspect that's more urban myth than demonstrable.

Hitting the back key is so easy. I don't understand why some people are incapable of doing it.

I'll post this and be done with it, I've never posted a story in Loving Wives. Somehow I had definitely ruffled some feathers, although I can't for the life of me figure out where/why? The one time I posted something and didn't explain myself very clearly, I made a point to return, and clear that up.
That being said, I posted a few things looking for understanding/opinions, certainly never being judgmental and very quickly everyone of the few stories I've published got bombed.

The world has plenty of petty people, it's no different on an internet forum.

Okay, so why would I give a shit?

I care because I'm not a Writer, what I do in my normal life is light-years away from writing and I'm guilty of wanting to write stories that people enjoy, those ratings gave me both the motivation to continue writing, and also gave me a pretty decent idea of how much traffic the stories received (in spite of there not truly being a 'xxxx users have actually read this story.) which I intended to use to decide which categories to possibly concentrate on.

I could take the opinion of not caring if people rate or comment, but then why would I go through the trouble of writing and publishing stories on the internet if not for feedback? I could just keep the stories on my computer and call it good. In any case, I'll slip back into the shadows, and call this a teachable moment.

Within hours of me posting both of their comments here in an Author's Hangout forum thread, that ID responded.

26thNC is an author participating here in the forum under an alt ID with published stories! And I don't know which one here promotes vindictive violent BTB stories! So, it could even mean a third ID.

But that's some pervert's way of having fun.

Just be aware that those you read here in the forum may not be what you think they are!

I've speculated athat 26thNC might be a Confederate sympathizer. Or maybe he's just a Civil War buff. You wouldn't expect Southern re-enactors to play at being a Union regiment.

26thNC doesn't need to be a "Confederate sympathizer" but might just be someone who found a family connection to a relative who served in the 26th NC.

I researched my ancestry and have a GGgrandfather who served in a Union regiment at Gettysburg, and another in a NJ regiment. I just don't bother with such things when looking for my own Id.

But, for 26thNC, they have AT LEAST one other alt name. And those might even be something related to Hitler's Germany, militant lesbians, or a Black Panther. Who knows?

I was mostly being tongue-in-cheek. I actually find the Civil War to be quite interesting, which is why I wrote The Battle of the Crater. But most wars are messier and more complicated than usually presented, but we prefer to see them in strict terms of good versus evil. Of course, once they end, everybody seems to switch sides and former allies become enemies and vice versa.

I don’t necessarily know if it’s always cowardice. If I wrote a Gay Male story, for example, I’d probably do it on an alt account. I know from experience that some readers simply don’t pay attention to categories, even if you write up at the top “THIS IS NOT IN LOVING WIVES.” No point in surprising them with something they’re not going to enjoy.
