The Predators Among Us

clique? damn. I miss everything. It HAS to be the age thing. I say we start our OWN clique.

One where we don't get called "subbie"! Sheesh, I hate that. Something a bit more....dignified. *chuckling*

Ohhh I so agree ...

(cellis - please forgive the hijack)

I also loathe and detest 'grrrrrrl'

So how about:

intelligent submissive women

or

strong experience women

ohhhh ... they are not brilliant - but it is late here

/Men, in general, seem to be clueless [to female predation] until it's too late./

Jeezz! I may be in trouble and not even know it! Holy shit. Do send out a search party to retrieve my bones, if I disappear for more than a week.

:rose:

Be afraid. Be very afraid!

Age!! Age!!

It seems

It seems to me to be a sad state of affairs that a woman, or any woman, could be collared so quickly and it points out the need of so many people that are reaching out to others only to be abused or used.
I am a sensualist and therefore like to give pleasure whether it is in the flesh or through the phone lines. Is that predatory? I think not but if any lady says "stop," then stop I do.
I do hope that friendships can begin on Lit and if they must end it is not by refusing to return pm's, e mails or phone calls but by honest dialogue.

Since this predator behavior is on the board and "extremely obvious" why can't you point in out instead of making accusations that rumble through the lit subbie clique pipeline.

WD - Care to point out the lit subbie clique instead of tossing out vague (and from the hip) references to whom they might be?

As for the predators, i say name them. Out them for who they are and lets be done with the warning. No offense cellis, but the cat dangling the mouse thing makes it tough to wax angry-like on a phantom Dom.

Ahhh but I have yet to see a predator who is a sensualist, usually too rude, blatent, and crude

to be awarded that title.

i dunno, i think you're a tiger ... i just happen to have a taste for grizzlies ;)

Send your proof to me in a PM and I'll be happy to out this Predator. Wouldn't that be doing the subs here a service?

I am sorry but I don't think that I asked you to perform that service... and I never said there was only one... perhaps you have read too much into the whole thing...

Same here, bunny!

Then again, I don't have as much time as I'd like to read all the threads, so maybe I am just missing it.

Or perhaps it was just where you were.... that is all... thanks for posting...

Personally and not so personally I see this all the time, when some male or female will make unwanted advances. Usually it is just in fun, but if a person is too pushy you can always choose to ignore the person or simply type back, my Master/Mistress sure wouldn't appreciate your message to me. They know they are overstepping their bounds especially if it is public that you are owned. I also think that these pests have nothing better to do than ruffle feathers. I wouldn't take them at all seriously. Just click ignore, and they are gone. Like Rose said, there are lots of ways to keep those kinds of folks from bugging you. Like Bunny, I feel relatively safe here and that I can be open, but that is because of things like the ignore button.

Predator for me in my mind connotates more like pedophile type person -- I would have to agree that these people while agressive, are merely pests and not to be taken too seriously. If they serially bother you then reporting them to Laurel might not be a bad idea. Remember, they don't know where you live or where you are....

You bring up a lot of good points. Especially the ignore button and bring an offender to Laurel's attention... of course we can always inform our esteemed Miss T of the situation as well.

I don't agree. I think most astute submissives here have noticed and know and do not have to sink to the same level of lack of class as the predators by naming names and beginning an all out flamewar just because someone encourages it.

Submissive we might be, but victims and puppets that does not have to make us.

As far as the word predator goes... we all have our own interpretation. To some, it can be a person who preys on those who appear weak and vulnerable... all the way to the other end of the spectrum, to a person who stalks and scares others. But ultimately and usually, you cannot be prey to anyone unless you allow that to happen. There are tools to protect yourself and then there is good, ol' common sense.

Thank you for for pointing this out... it is an individual thing... it is about how this situation makes person feel...

Well, I am a little late (as usual ...)

cellis, I have noticed it on and off.
unfortunately, it has always been around - and probably always will be.

and ... I am really miffed about not knowing about the subbie clique thingy-do
but then, if you didn't; and ADR didn't; and catalina didn't ... maybe it's our age???

You didn't tell me there was a group!

would it be viewed as a predatory comment if i said something like "you can join my pipeline any day" or "i'll let you in my pipeline at any time of your choosing"?

or does that just make me an incredibly cheesy flirt that should be shot?

Thanks for stopping fallon... it is good to see you again... and you are right about honest dialogue... I have always thought that was the best policy!

Actually, as I stated before I am not going to do that... I wanted this to be a dialogue... not a burning at the stake... If you want that you will have to do that on your own...

Wonderful words, Catalina.

I dunno cellis, I tend to agree with WD. If you see someone who think is acting predatory - why not go ahead and name them here? The worst that could happen is you'll get an angry pm. The best is that you'll save some newbie pain, disappointment and the same bad experience you had by forewarning them.

I haven't noticed much predatory stuff. But I've only received friendly pms. And I tend to write off a lot of stuff as cheesy pick up attempts. Like my eariler work on WD. Just trying to prove a point - that sometimes, people are goofy, weird, and not to be taken too seriously. And sometimes, if you do just that, they'll crawl back under the rock they appeared from.

I have been here a long time and I just wanted to have this as a source for dialogue... I am not into outing... and I think that behavior leads to people taking sides and oh boy then there is a huge problem.

I just wanted this to be something that people could talk about what they see or don't see as the case may be, and have an open discussion, rather than an all out war... I have been through enough of them here...

lol... true enough

make love, not war ... let's bring back the 70s if i get to see more nudity everyday ;)
