It seems to me to be a sad state of affairs that a woman, or any woman, could be collared so quickly and it points out the need of so many people that are reaching out to others only to be abused or used.
I am a sensualist and therefore like to give pleasure whether it is in the flesh or through the phone lines. Is that predatory? I think not but if any lady says "stop," then stop I do.
I do hope that friendships can begin on Lit and if they must end it is not by refusing to return pm's, e mails or phone calls but by honest dialogue.

Personally and not so personally I see this all the time, when some male or female will make unwanted advances. Usually it is just in fun, but if a person is too pushy you can always choose to ignore the person or simply type back, my Master/Mistress sure wouldn't appreciate your message to me. They know they are overstepping their bounds especially if it is public that you are owned. I also think that these pests have nothing better to do than ruffle feathers. I wouldn't take them at all seriously. Just click ignore, and they are gone. Like Rose said, there are lots of ways to keep those kinds of folks from bugging you. Like Bunny, I feel relatively safe here and that I can be open, but that is because of things like the ignore button.

Predator for me in my mind connotates more like pedophile type person -- I would have to agree that these people while agressive, are merely pests and not to be taken too seriously. If they serially bother you then reporting them to Laurel might not be a bad idea. Remember, they don't know where you live or where you are....

You bring up a lot of good points. Especially the ignore button and bring an offender to Laurel's attention... of course we can always inform our esteemed Miss T of the situation as well.

I don't agree. I think most astute submissives here have noticed and know and do not have to sink to the same level of lack of class as the predators by naming names and beginning an all out flamewar just because someone encourages it.

Submissive we might be, but victims and puppets that does not have to make us.

As far as the word predator goes... we all have our own interpretation. To some, it can be a person who preys on those who appear weak and vulnerable... all the way to the other end of the spectrum, to a person who stalks and scares others. But ultimately and usually, you cannot be prey to anyone unless you allow that to happen. There are tools to protect yourself and then there is good, ol' common sense.

I have been here a long time and I just wanted to have this as a source for dialogue... I am not into outing... and I think that behavior leads to people taking sides and oh boy then there is a huge problem.

I just wanted this to be something that people could talk about what they see or don't see as the case may be, and have an open discussion, rather than an all out war... I have been through enough of them here...
