Thanks, rumi. Life's too short to let it get to us, no? Hope you survived the fracture, well you must have - you're here.

:D

Early in my life,...well,...more like 30 years ago...I was an idealistic dreamer and hopeless romantic. I held on to most of that but I've become more realistic about the cycles of life and some prices that are unavoidable to enjoy times of happiness. It also forces me to decide which battles in life are wrth fighting and to what extent of loss.

Life is way too short to allow inconsiderate casualties.

Hope this doesn't offend, Rumi. It was just spoken way too beautifully for it NOT to be a poem.

I agree Boo ~ nicely done... :rose:

Hey,...thank you... :rose:

I always hit the last post button and start reading backwards. I saw the quote in your name and started reading the poem and thought,....hey, I like that, it sounds familiar :D

and then I realized how you gave better life to it.

thanks again

I see that she just posted twice today on the reviewer thread and she is still doing mondays. I think she just hasn't had a chance to review yet since it's still so early. But lucky for us, we get two reviews, which is always a delight. So, duckie, please post your review also. :)

Thank you

Jen and Duckie for the mention

and Duckie yes, it is killing me, but I have some really long over explained stuff lined up with plenty of oversell and overkill so I'll blow it all out and feel better about it.
:D

And Ange yes you were right about the last line??
happy?
:p

and Duckie congrats again on the house

30 new poems today! Naturally you should go read all of them, but in this 24/7 bear-market bullshit world, who's got the time? I know you, you backward-baseball cap pinstripe thug, closing deals and text-messaging the pool boy to get his sexy ass into the kitchen this minute. You need it now, you want it fast, and you keep your shoes on in case something better struts past.

Alright, here's what you can't miss:

Some more new poets that need your attention: JerseyBoy; kellyraine; ElectricElektrum; taikutsana

Yeah, there's more, but you're on the clock and traffic's backed up to thirty-ninth street. Put the New Poems list on your blackberry and get to it during recess.
thanks for the notice, this is my first poem submitted
i actually wrote it after reading someones journal online...

Thank you Fly

for the mention of my poem.

It was a little out of the ordinary for me and judging by the response people weren't sure what to make of it!
Ha!!

Thank to all who took the time to read, scratch their heads, and vote or comment
:D

Thank you, Lauren, for mentioning "Colours" in your review.

as retreat calls my harmonium into a room full of the wildest flowers-

i send the impending dew like a smoke ring west to Venus and to Mars-

so far yet so here, now.

Sweetest dreams Tesse, with any luck we will rub unknowing wool in the hallways of shoulders and all my suitcases gliding on your dancefloor transported.

In my rather stupid country way, I have just stumbled upon this thread.

May I retroactively thank Lauren for her kind words in yesterday's review.

Her flattering words are, well, flattering.

Thanks.

Oh, all right, Mr. Carrington.
Embarrass me in front of the entire class!

And, yes, I am doing my homework.

That assignment will be in on time.

Thank you both

Lauren and Rybka, for the mention of my two recent poems , Buried at Sea and One mind, one body.

Thanks also to those who read, vote and comment not only on my poems, but those of others as well. I know we all appreciate the time and effort you put forth in doing so.

;)
