Speaking of games. The cat keeps feeding the the dog. She goes to her bowl, begs for food, then walks away, leaving it for the dog to eat. I don't know if she's sincerely concerned about the dog's welfare, or if it's some sort of insidious plot to kill her with kindness

When we first took in the coonhound he was in rough shape. He was half the weight he should have been and my husky would grab mouthfuls of food and drop it in front of him, then stand over him until he ate it. It's been eight years and she still sometimes does it, animals are amazing and more humane than most humans.

I have a pound, is that enough?

No. It doesn't matter how much you have there is never enough bacon.

It's a nice day out there. Sunny, which beats yesterday to a bloody pulp. Yanno, kinda like you might like to do to Certain Select Litstsers. It's cheaper than shooting them and you get some good exercise.


Gonna go see a friend today. She lives about an hour out of town. We've been chatting a great deal lately, and she can talk. Should be nice.


I have a wee computer glitch. I'll figure that out later.

I have the question of the week.

Does this feel like healing and unity, or revenge and division?

Other than that, January remains cold, but not as cold as it could be, I am still not
breaking out any heavy winter gear. During the day a light jacket will still suffice.

I am seeing no rabbits which usually indicates an explosion of predators, so the chickens
are on strict lockdown until we can starve out some foxes and coyotes. I've been
enjoying my weekend of football, but like March Madness, it comes to a close way too
quickly (but not as quickly as March Madness was shut down last year!).

I got a new TV remote which means no more frustrating mashing of buttons to attempt
a channel change which merely results in going straight to Spanish language programming.



The first cup of coffee is going down way too quickly. I could end up wired at this rate.

Up early to meet today's commitment. No biggie, just do it/them, right?


So we get 4 out of the 6 non-division winners through last weekend. Cleveland did a nice job on the Stealers. They were, what, 11-0 and then won one more game the rest of the way. They can go play golf, since they forgot how to play football. The Ravings finally figured out the Tittans. And never discount the TB factor in . . . TB.


I ain't discountin' this-here coffee . . . .

Mom has some "issues," so I'll gnaw through some time helping her with them. And I need to go to visit the kids. And I have a big road bike what needs ridin' somewhere more than to work and back.

The guys are due to return later today so work shall resume tomorrow.
My coffee is amazing this morning, it's surprising how taking a bit of self-care
time can really rejuvenate you and make the world seem a little bit brighter.
