TSCLT 10.0: Confucius say he hates a pussy!

Slow is OK as long as it's done right. Fast is impressive but meaningless if it has to be done over.

Today was a perfect day at the range. Mild temps and no wind. I did learn that my loads with the 208 gr. bullets begin to go unstable beyond 600 yds. Disappointing but not entirely surprising. The 208's are right on the ragged edge of needing a 1 in 9 twist to stabilize and my rifle is a 1 in 10. So I'm dropping back in weight a bit. I can't decide between the 190 gr. Sierra Match Kings or the 178 gr. Hornady ELD Match. So I ordered both. The Sierra's have a higher BC so should buck the wind better. The Hornady's have the virtue of nearly matching my 180 gr. hunting loads and I know that the hunting loads will hold ~.3 MOA out to 500 yds. Back to the drawing board.

Off to read shortly . . . .

Yes on the reading.....

and yes on the meme.

It is a world of frozen iced-over snow on ice.
I'm guessing that I won't be going anywhere today.
I could spend the day trolling my trolls, but nah,
I don't consider myself as important as they do...

[I don't care who you are, if you think about it, that last line is a gem.]

SOoooo...

In January, I was in the box store trying to locate the ice melt.
The young clerkette looked at me as if I were crazy and asked,
why would anyone need ice melt at this time of year, after all,
up to that point winter had been very tame and mild...

Now, I am regretting that I did not buy twice as much as I did at the time.

Thus begins the day at Ice Station Bootheel.

;) ;)

Happy Thursday!!!

Out here in the fields, we know what's real, and we get or backs into our livin'. The big poodle bully followed me down the drive last night. They have their poodle blankies on. I stepped outside first thing and it's just beginning to freeze over. I reckon that I'll go in to see the PM and listen to him complain that his job looks like a ghost town.

For bein' out here in the fields, we still gots utilities. Allah truly is merciful.

And most of all, Wat haz coffeh . . . .

It’s about 4 degrees here, dummy dog just gives me dirty looks when I mention going out.

He’s not amused.

Yes on the reading.....

and yes on the meme.

Three old car history books - simultaneously. History, design, engineering . . . .

And a book on coyote hunting. No one likes them.

The new cat has gnawed the corner on the Definitive (Old Car) History Book. Kitten hungers for knowledge.

All the good cats do . . . .

Big Stupid enjoys licking the snow.
Little Stupid wants to have nothing to do with it,
then again, Big is a longhair and Little is a shorthair.
Big Stupid is a full-sized dachs and Little Stupid is a mini-dachs...

We haven’t been over 20 in a week and I don’t think it’s supposed to be until the middle of next week.

Winter in Michigan.

Pretty similar here -- that is one massive block of cold air.

It's almost like winter held itself back on purpose just to
sucker us into complacency...

Is this one of those Polar Vortexeseses???

Gee, I hope no one gets noosed . . . .

I can only hope that it will just be this one big blast.

:fingers crossed:

It's not so much that I want to get out and do a whole lot of things,
but this on the heels of Covid and I am just tired of being forced
into being a recluse (even though I am mostly one voluntarily ;) ).

I guess, at least, old man winter is enforcing some social distancing.

Good morning.

Today is the first day of the partial Grand Opening of this state. Going to be able to go out to eat now and tomorrow will be the first time. Breakfast with the Feds is back on again. A lot of catching up to be done.

The decline was first noted in the 80's hence the reference to 'decades.' And the decline was matched by a decline in Western males sperm count. I don't think anyone has done a study to find out if the two are related.

I think it's possibly related to contraceptives in the water*
which have also been affecting amphibian populations.

That's something that we cannot study honestly because
it would cause the Left to completely melt down...

It's been tested.

I went out on the deck and nearly fell on my ass. It's nastier - muchly - in the last hour. Don't need no drama when Good Jurdgment (R intended to make you say it funnily) makes a more gooder decision.

That and there are four bridges in the first two miles of my drive.

Let some other muther crease-n-dent his sheet metal.
