TSCLT 10.0: Confucius say he hates a pussy!

I haven't done a beak count, still too dark,
but I assume, unless the predators got lucky,
that the flock stuck together.

They're not all up on the roof of the doghouse,
which is where they usually congregate after an attack.
They better start laying eggs pretty soon because I'm getting
impatient and store-bought eggs are like eating fawkin' rice cakes...

;) ;)

How old are they?

9-10 months now.

Did you get all roosters? They should have started by 6 mos or so. If you got a breed that is good at foraging letting them run will stimulate egg production. I used to let mine out about 2 hours before sundown. They'd run around collecting insects and such and then mosey back to the pen to roost.

Happy Sunday!!!

The dogs' mother got them collected last night. She really does take an "oh well" kind of approach to these critters. Besides, she has dogs but I think she's really a cat person. That way, dogs are more for decoration.

I'll be curious to see if deer get into the meadow/pasture.

No chickens here, but we do have coffee . . . .

Good morning!

I don't know much about chickens. What I know is they have feathers and should lay eggs. Do some hens identify as roosters? maybe that's the issue.

I do know it's 40 degrees outside this morning (thanks thor!)

The horses' mom is out feeding the babies.

My cat is engaged in some light grooming.

I'm thinking of getting it together here in the next hour and heading to town.

There was some car or Mopar thing there yesterday. Saw a '59 Lancer (I think) and a '70 Super Bee. I like a '68 Road Runner a lot, but the '70 Bee might be mah fave.

Good morning BT.

Cross species gender identification issues? Damn, what's the world coming to?

I think they identify as raptors.

Yesterday they not only chased after little stupid,
but they were also chasing a little bunny around the yard.

Good morning.

This is fucked up.
I have "unlimited" data, but because I put 15 Gig on my hotspot
during this billing period, I have been slowed down to 128kbs.
Hell, most of Wat's gifs don't even load all of the way.
I could just use the phone, but talk about your basic pain in the ass...

15gig in one month? Small wonder you're throttled.
How much porn are you watching, housesquaw?

Horses are ruled by their love of grain...mostly.

The car thing reminded me someone stopped to burn some rubber in front of the house last night. They should have announced their intentions so's we could watch, as it was an old muscle car, but by the time I looked out, it was too far down the holler to identify.

Hello Bidin! I hope you and yours are doing well.

The guy down the road builds cars. A very respectable burn out from in front of his house going down the road made an appearance. I just figured it was him. The rubber is absolutely melted into the road. Not too wiggly. Respectable.

Turns out it was not him. It was another car builder leaving my neighbor something to think about.

Hey Pete! We're all doing okay. I'm bout as sassy as ever and thinkin of takin it to new heights. You just never know about me.
Whoever this was, also did a very respectable burn out...looks to be a couple hundred feet of well laid rubber. I hope to figure out who it was and get a better look at the car.

Raptor chickens...well, it's kinda in the DNA somewhere. Maybe you should make sure their eggs don't hatch...if ever they start layin.

I had a rooster once, it was supposed to be a hen at the point of purchase.
I found it a good home; those things are so obnoxious...

Does Wat's new landlady have chickens? if not, do ya think we could get her to pick up a small herd of them? (yes, I know the proper is flock, but that sounds so quietly demure and we want raptor chickens) It could make Wat's daily commute ever so much more special to add chicken herding to the horse and dog herding.
