I need the border reopened for non-business stuff first. Slipping across for a little afternoon shopping or dinner is fine but a long trip wouldn't be right. I have friends and relatives (some I even like) who I would love to visit again soon. Maybe by then Johnny will have his new place?

More work headway made. The new crew is a vast improvement, but too small. They're s'posed to be bringing enough Latinos tomorrow to make an Alamo movie.


South-movage is certainly in the future if and when Mother Tyler shuffles off. However, she seems to be perfectly content staying here. Altho' I do like the island idea. Probably because it includes shooting interlopers. But to conserve ammo, they should only be shot to prevent their escape and then dispatched with edged weaponry. Or simply have their heads bashed with rocks.

We can haz wind outside. It's been blowing since the wee dark hours. A cold front is forecast to show up this afternoon, but the landlady says that's changing. My weather stuff seems less optimistic, but it doesn't look too bad, really. It is the middle of December, after all, and the solstice will be along in several more days.


Wonder how many painters I get today.

Another short burst of crap weather tonight and then allegedly clear for the rest of the week.

Going to zoom out real early this AM to pick up a few items. I'm liking these new store hours.

No worries with the island escapee's. No need for rocks or sharp implements. Just keep the surrounding waters well chummed. Sharks gotta eat too.

Errands were completed this morning and I picked up some deli pizzas and salads to make the weekend cooking easier. The weather is crap right now and if I had a give-a-damn I'm sure the falling slush would break it.
