TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

Happy payday Wednesday!!! A shekel or two was juggled, like Daddy Warbucks having the talent to move . . . talents . . . .

I remember that old bit of doggerel. If you don't have time to do it right, how will you have time to do it over??? I can guarantee you, this boy singlehandedly cost his boss a shot at the next job. At this stage, it's just, shut the fuck up, finish your work - correctly, this time, get the fuck off the job and out of our lives, and never come back.

Meanwhile, there looks to be some rain on the way. Probably good days to check the attics, since the sun will grant respite.

Coffee, do your thing!!!

Home. Hotel. Grazed on some carry-out.

Sent a text to a friend I hadn't talked to in a long time. Silly wench calls me 90 seconds later, and we talked for . . . 90 minutes. I guess we had a fair amount of ground to cover. It was a great chat. I've missed her.

We have weasels - I don't know why "weasels," but it started out that way and it's become traditional, I reckon - weasels at work who are becoming purposefully annoying. Wire butcher boy. Cruising to get locked in a crawl space somewhere. He was still alive when we saw him leave to go home/to the bar - honest.

And I have witnesses.

...

I dated her and didn't see a freaking thing.
Goodfellahs never squeal on each other and we don't take the stand, or the oath, or anything...

Okay, if you're not looking, we will take it.

Yuppers

A truly lazy man does it right the first time so he doesn't have to do it again.

I think that comes from an old-timer named Owens...

Morning.

Coffee's good. Getting ready to head out to the range for a bit. Should be a nice day.....as long as I remember to take my bug repellent. The recent rain has brought out the six legged flying beasties.

Coffee here is good.
I love drinking it by the Kcup, plus
there are some really good deals on the internet...

Then Wat is truly as lazy a fucker as can be had.

You know, when a guy lies to you, you start watching. Next thing you notice, it's all lies.

Then you get the ones who deny everything, especially being busted. They Don't Even kNow I Am Lying . . . .

Motherfuckers . . . .

I might be lazier than you.

I won't even deem to take on a job that I could not do right the first time.

:D :D :D

I have turned down a few for people who can't be happy.

They have a way of letting you know who they are.

Even if you take the basic price and double it and then add 50% for Asshole Tax, it still isn't worth the psychic pain from having to deal with their drama and their st000pidity.

I prefer cows, because they simply go: MOOO000ooo!!!!

I've had jobs that you can't do right the first time because they keep changing the rules.
Some employers design for failure. I should mention that my employers in those cases were government offices.

...

This was my reality when I was working at the nuclear plant.
We spent more time undoing work than we did doing work
in order to satisfy government college boys...

At least, they almost guaranteed job security;
that which was a two-year project
turned into ten.

Different location but the same procedure in Canada lol

Putt's Law "Technology is dominated by two types of people, those who understand what they do not manage and those who manage what they do not understand."

I believe that the above can be applied to most government operations as well.

I still remember the bubbahs from South Carolina pulling me aside demanding that
I not work with enthusiasm and expediency because they
wanted to stay for Christmas with their families.

There were nights when we showed up and
the orders for the 'day' were to
not get caught sleeping...

Same procedure for gummint.

At least there were no gulags to get sent to.

None that a body could see, leastways . . . .

I'm off to see the weasels which I can see . . . .

How appropriate...

We once flooded the reactor because an 'engineer' would not listen to
the paid help and relied only upon his paperwork.

Once the flood was unleashed,
he would not let us stem the water's flow
until he had submitted the proper paperwork. :D

Oh good lord!

:)

The Saint Paulie's Weather Girl is especially hot today.
I love it when she wears red.

Don't ask me about the forecast...

Ah. Got it. Thought it was a little strange doing battle with weasels most mornings. :D

So nice to catch up with old friends. Did the same thing with a friend of mine 4 years ago and he stole my heart. :rose:
