TSCLT 9.0: Allah Hates A Pussy, Too!!!

It rained good and hard yesterday afternoon
right after I finished prepping the rest of
the front porch for painting...

Oh well, since I was power washing it,
it was going to need to dry out anyway.

Off to see some weasels.

With plenty of teeth to gnaw-n-crush their tiny bones . . . .

Roughly 40 years ago, they couldn't be open on Sunday in Kansas.
Even liquor stores had to close on Sunday...

You had to plan ahead.

Our work expansion is over and since COVID caused such economic havoc for
some we reaped a few benefits and added two diesel forklifts and some
heavy-duty shelving to our new digs. That meant of course that those without
their forklift license had to go and do the 3-day training course for our
insurance. We kept the two little electrics but it will be nice having some more
power around here.

And don't bother with the bunker, if you're that far out super insulate and
structure your house into a bunker. Learn to set boobie traps (also good to
stop b&e attempts and poachers), and follow Wat's example by investing in
home protection implements. :) As for graves, it's easier to use a chipper
shredder and feed your roses, nature will take care of the rest and if that
doesn't suit you a few household chemicals and three days in a barrel will
leave nothing but a solution that will kill the weeds in your nearest rainwater
ditch, the best part is they biodegrade into harmless stuff in a few weeks.

And the only other thing going on here was the case of the missing cherry tomatoes.
I have 4 plants which usually give me more than we can ever use but this
year as soon as they turn red they are gone. I thought it was tree rats but we
never saw them so I set up a webcam and started recording. Turns out the
little human living here that doesn't like the store ones has developed a love of
them fresh from the plant and can eat her weight in them. I never thought to
ask her if she knew what was happening to them :D

The problem with booby traps here in the US
is that the injured criminal will turn and
sue you for damages...

:(

That's hillarious. Mine went through two pounds of blueberries last week. I was aware that she gotten through a pound or so when I retrieved the box from her. When I couldn't find them after she left, I was worried she left them somewhere where they were going to rot and attract flies. I asked her about it this week and she cheerfully admitted to eating all of them.

This week she went through about two lbs of goldfish crackers and a whole lots otter pops.

I should probably buy cherry tomatoes now that I think about it because I keep having to help her with the tomato and avocado slicing.

She likes to get into the popcorn seasoning because it's a fine powder which she likes to make clouds of fog with with predictable results.

They can sue you because they got hurt committing a crime?? That's a stupid law.

And there is always room for a little more variety :)

You can't sharpen the spikes on your fence or embed glass at the top of your block wall but nothing says you can't ring your place with cactus.

You just are not allowed to engage in activities that you know may bring harm...

You are supposed to let them burgle you and then have the police
fill out a report for your insurance company...

It's fucked.

Your home is their castle.

run them through a food processor, strain them and can or freeze them for this
winter, they make great sauces and chillis

I've already a dozen containers...

I am short on blackberries.
They're up on the hill and the squirrels keep beating me to them.

Back when I was working on that house in Oregon so mom could get it sold I was up there for 2 or 3 weeks with no internet access. She had blackberry bushes up and down the road and I hadn't mind to gather enough to make some jam but I got to sidetracked with little projects to get any of it picked

That reminds me of the Economist story I forget who. Milton Friedman?. He was in China watching laborers dig a ditch with shovels and he pointed out how much faster this could be done with heavy equipment and the Chinese said that this way was good for employment. The response was why not just give them spoons if that's the point?
