Twenty Somethings

Just a quick good night post. I have to get up early tomorrow. Sorry I have nothing sexual, witty, humorous, and worshipful to post right now. Maybe tomorrow when I get off work I'll have something to say.

Good night folks!

hello from work... argh... what a day... i am tired, people keep annoying me...

erm - when you email a hotel or hostel and the emails go back and forth, please always include your reference number or else the dates and your name because i constantly get mails where the old emails are not attached anymore and it takes forever to find all the information i need. ah well... soon i am gone from here, yay - keep coming to work finding that everything changed in the system etc. or that things are broken... sorry, i am just really tired today, not in a good mood at all...

Bleh, work was busy. Gawd, I hate Friday nights. Too many morons who can't drive are out on the road this evening and I almost didn't think I was going to get off work tonight because of customers.

No, nobody's having fun, bub. Well, I'm not at least. I too desire company. Somebody to snuggle with. Just sit on the couch snuggling or perhaps lying in bed and snuggling.

Anyhow, I'm awfully tired. Luckily I won't have to be at work until the afternoon, so I can get some more sleep.

Nighters!

Nothing special going on tonight. Just got back from seeing Fever Pitch. It was nice to see the Sox beat the Yanks again. Sigh...I'll never get tired of seeing that...

Care to tell us who you shared a hot dog and beer with while you watched? lol

Glad to hear you had fun though, MyOwn.

tiiired... i fell asleep after dinner... just woke up... i wish i could get a normal sleep rhythm somehow.

Thanks for spoiling the ending, My. And I was thinking about seeing that movie. Not anymore. Got to get ready for finals now. I need to find some work for the summer.

Ok, I didn't realize Fever Pitch was a movie. I assumed it was some part of the baseball season or something. Sorry for the misunderstanding on my part.

Anyhow, just a few more weeks before the semester is over, then I think I'll be working full time for the Summer.

I just had a 1 to 10 shift tonight. I can't believe I hated it too. Customers kept giving me 20's, and there was like several customers who were rather snobby when I was friendly.

Also, I think tonight is Prom Night or something. One being because I saw a few dressed up kids sometime earlier in the evening and secondly, both hotels in town had packed parking lots. My only thoughts are that if these are indeed Prom Night attenders, then they shouldn't even be able to rent the hotel rooms, MAINLY because the hotels require they must be 21 years old. Even my brother couldn't rent a room on Prom Night when we had Prom.

Oh wells, let the kids fuck themselves up. Pondering things doesn't help me any.

There's a good chance that the school decided to hold the dance at a hotel. My senior prom was at a hotel.

And maybe hotels are supposed to have an over 21 policy, but I rented several hotel rooms when I was under 21, as has my brother on road trips and such. Recently, my father has made me two hotel reservations and no one, when I checked in, asked me if I was over 21. Bottom line, many hotels won't turn down money. And, really, it's not the hotels responsibility to make sure they're not renting to kids considering that many of the people who check guests in aren't much more than kids themselves.

That is also possible. Like I said, I'm going to stop pondering all that stuff because it won't help me any.

BTW MyOwn, I noticed that last post got you 666 posts. That seems bad. You're a naughty girl, you.

sorry to be ignorant, but what sport is this? i always thought fever pitch was a novel by nick hornby, about football (european football i mean)...

and how, you need to be 21 to stay in a hotel? what then do people under 21 do when they want to travel?

well, actually i am not sure what my hotel's policies are when someone is by themselves and under 18, we had one once who was an exchange student and there was a meeting of students from all over germany and they stayed at our hostel area, and he lived in berlin but it got quite late so he prefered to stay there with the others, we called his host family to ask if it is fine, and that was enough... not sure if someone just comes in who is under 18, but i guess usually it is no problem, actually unless someone looks really young i never check their age.

how is staying in a hotel = fuck themselves up?

The answer to your previous post is the sport is American baseball. The Yankees and the Sox are more known teams of baseball I believe because they are mostly seen in the World Series part of the game.

I really don't know a lot about the policies of why you have to be 21 to rent a hotel room. I'm assuming it goes with the "mini bar" most people find in their room. In the United States, and unless otherwise noted, you have to be 21 to legally buy alcohol. Based on my experience about hotels, some franchised hotels provide you with a mini-bar, which is a bunch of little bottles of alcohol in case you didn't know.

There are some hotels that don't have that kind of franchise establishment, which would be almost like your typical "Mom and Pop" thing, and you only have to be 18 to rent a room.

As I said before, I really don't know the reasons behind policy. I can only make guesses and assumptions about it.

As for the whole "fuck themselves up" comment, I was ranting. Most kids think that to make Prom Night REALLY special, they have to have sex. Personally, and because I didn't have fun at MY High School Prom, Prom Night was the worst night of my life. Cheap and cold dinner, didn't go with anybody because nobody wanted to go with me, and nobody wanted to dance with me. Lots of pictures with people though, but they were fake smiles because I really wasn't having a good time. If I was 21 at the time of Prom, I would say I'd have drunk myself into a stupor. Quite a few times I have done that. I drank and drank and laughed and cried myself drunk. I can remember parts of that one night when my brother and his friends were yelling at me to shut up because I was a noisy, miserable drunk.

Anyhow, yet more rants for everyone to think on and call me what they will.

this reminds me of my graduation night. as far as i remember it. ah, the joys of being from a country where drinking age is lower than 21...

Hi Everyone!! I miss you all!! This thread seems to have slowed down a lot lately. Must be that time of the semester....I know I'm about to have a breakdown.

As for drinking and having sex. Can't say either is really my thing. I think I've been drunk a total of 5 times in my life. It was just mildly enjoyable but not something I look forward to....I prefer to remember my nights....but that's just me.

And I dunno HC...but you seem to have a very negative and cynical outlook on just about everything in life. Sorry if that sounds harsh...you know I'm not a mean person so I'm not saying it in a mean and nasty way...more like matter of fact. But yeah..***** sucks sometimes....but not ALL the time....you have to look towards the good things, the happy things. I could be wrong on all this....but it's just the vibe I've gotten over the past few weeks.

MyOwn, like everyone else, you are correct. I look at life with negativity. I apologize for that, I really do. I try my best to look at the good things in life, but there really is nothing for me to look forward to. I guess I'm one of the people who got dealt the shittiest hand in life. Alas, I'm not good at Poker unless I let go of my inhibitions and let down my guard and not thing so much. So... in order for me to make the best of the shittiest hand I got dealt, I need to stop thinking about things. Problem is, I'm a thinker for life. It is how I have the ability to write good stuff.

Again, I apologize that you and everyone else can sense how negative and cynical I am, but I do hope that people and yourselves do find something better about me to deal with. At least until I defeat my inner demons.

Anyhow, hope to talk to ya laters!

Guess I have a slight case of insomnia tonight. I can't wait for the weekend as I might go to a party. I can't even remember the last time I had a good time. My, you are right it is getting to that time of the year. Spring has return for a few days around here. So many sexy girls and I still freeze when I see a good one. I really need to get over this fear of rejection thing.

What should I do to fall asleep???

Get a job, for one thing. That, or you can try to have a really intense masturbation session that will leave you exhausted, but I wouldn't recommend falling asleep before cleaning up. Chances are somebody might walk in on you the next morning and notice a mess you've made while you're asleep.

Other than all that, I've found music to help me sleep most times. You should try that.

Thanks for the advise Crow. I went to one of my own personal standbys when I can't fall alsleep: Put on the History Channel and close my eyes. It would explain why I know so much history

erm... no...

at least i find it helps me in life being aware of that the mere fact that i never have to worry what to eat tomorrow, that i can get the education i want, etc. etc. means that on a world wide scale i am one of the lucky ones. i have lived in countries where most of my friends were considerably poorer than me - and even those weren't really poor countries (romania, and chile) - i would say in the western world we might have our hardships too, but we have all chances of making out of our life what we want to... i think awareness of that already helps dealing with problems that come up...

i don't want to make the problems you had in life seem smaller like that, i just think it might help you to remember this...

I am on an academic roll tonight! Ok...not really. All I did was double space a paper I'd already written...immediatly changed it from 6 pages to 12 though...made me feel smart. Gotta get the highs where I can right? LOL...wow...did I just make ANY sense? I've been submerged in historical data for the last 5 hours...can't even think right now.

I don't disagree that there are people out there who have it worse than me. I merely just state from my own personal well-being.

I will admit that I am slowly changing who I am. Making progress day by day. Hopefully not too far into the future I will feel a whole lot better about myself and the world around me.

You sound like you got it bad. Heck, I've still got this book I need to get read and reviewed by exactly tomorrow!! I knew it was a bad idea to start working this far into the semester!! Especially when there's only a week left. Looks like I'll be pulling an all nighter. Something I CAN, but RARELY do these days. Luckily I'm not working tomorrow, so I can kick off a lot of relaxation after class. lol.

Anyhow, off to homework I go!! Nighters!
