Twenty Somethings

so, you mean frozen yoghurt, not normal yoghurt? as for normal yoghurt, i ate it a lot when i was younger, mainly in the time after 1989 when i first got to know it... frozen yoghurt is quite similar to what we here call "softeis", which also was quite common when i was younger...

but what i mainly meant is that i have to eat something of more of a substance. only sweet things, like ice cream or yoghurt or similar for several days will make me feel sick, and yes, too much fatty food, be it ice cream or french fries, or whatever, is not good... stressing about diets isn't either, i think, but there has to be some kind of balance...

Umm... I'm not saying I'm proud to be on the chubby side, w/ a masculine look, however, don't you think that all the stress with dieting and (unless you feel great doing it) working out will be the ULTIMATE killer?

Although I'm keeping at it, I'm getting stressed out because I'm not seeing as much results from working out. I think that's the main reason people get stressed out about exercising and watching what they eat. No, I don't expect results right away. I'm just not feeling any different than I was a week ago.

Come to think of it, I actually do feel like I felt a week ago and that's TIRED.

I wasn't pointing any fingers at you HC. You asked what the harm in eating ice cream was, and I simply pointed out that it's not ice cream in particular, but anything with excess fat in it. Don't take everything so personally....

As for exercizing and dieting, you need to remember it takes 14 days to get out of shape, and 90 days to get back into it. It's slow going. Be patient, I'm sure you're doing better than you think you are. And no, working out will not be the ultimate killer unless you're obsessive about it and it becomes a type of eating disorder. Having a healthy body and heart through a good diet and exercise won't kill you, regardless of how painful it seems sometimes.

Regular yogurt makes me want to gag. Even the thought of it makes my stomach turn...Yeeechk. Gross stuff as far as I'm concerned.

I had all four wisdom teeth out a few years ago...looked like a chipmunk for about two weeks afterwards, my face swelled up so badly. I did eat a lot of Jello and Milkshakes, but I also at some other soft stuff such as steamed carrots and oatmeal. A non salty soup such as cream of something might be good as well. Personally, I couldn't deal with not eating good food for more than a few days, so after awhile I sucked it up and just ate whatever I felt like...stay away from salty stuff though...trust me...

Really? I used to like yoghurt a lot, though now it kind of bores me. There are very different kinds though...

as for salty food - but i was told that having salty warm water in the mouth helps the healing... haven't tried that yet though...

went to my dad's for dinner though and fought myself through a plate of very soft meet and mashed potatoes..

Yeah, warm water with some salt in it is supposed to help keep your mouth clean or something like that. The salt is so dilluted though you can hardly taste it. I was thinking more along the lines of salty chicken broth or popcorn with extra salt on it ;) those you might want to avoid....

ah okay... and why?

Too much of something can be bad. If there is one thing I wish I had time for it is working out. I worked out when I was dorming on my campus last year. I feel so out shape. I'm big, but I eat maybe twice a day with a snack after dinner. I going nto get a gym membership somewhere and start training again.

well yes that is true...

hm, i never liked going to hte gym. reminds me of PE class... though i guess i should do some more sport... what i do right now is mainly just going by bike, especially now that it is warmer and my semester ticket has run out...

No, no, I wasn't saying you were pointing fingers or taking it personally. I was simply stating how I have always felt about myself and what I am doing to change that.

I'm sorry if it sounded like that, but I didn't mean for it to be that way. And yes, I guess you're right, too much fatty substance won't do any good.

And maybe you're right, maybe I am doing a lot better than I expected. Also, I didn't realize about the 14 days, 30 days thing. Nobody actually told me anything about that, to be honest with you.

Anyhow, off to finishing homework.

hello everyone... now the last days have told me the best way to lose weight is a wisdom teeth operation, i took an hour today to eat some mashed potatoes, because it was so much effort...

Unfortunatly you only have four wisdom teeth....you shoulda paced yourself...one a year ;) . Anyone else ready for this semester to END??

Muna, you should get some shakes to drink until your teeth feel better.

My, I am glad this semsester is almost over! It has been a disaster. I want to move on. I have two more years to go! It is going to suck to be a 5th year student.

21. The age when the great lords of the universe impart the wonderous gifts of drinking en-masse and looking forward to being "over the hill". But before over the hill you get to look forward to marriage, kids, the kids college tution and a multitude of other grand luxuries previously left out of reach when you were "a kid".

21 is a wonderful time of life. BLEH! :(

Yeah MyOwn, I'm ready for this semester to end. I have a feeling I might end up failing one class though because it's too late in the game for me to say anything to the instructor.

Right now, to be honest, I don't give a crap because I'm the kind of person who understands things better if I'm ACTUALLY doing it. For instance, the class is about Programming Logic and Design. We're basically learning about logic and design of programming. Hell, first 2 chapters were ok, but then it starts to get really confusing with words and crap. I can't skip this class though, because it's a required pre-requisite. If I fail it, I'll take it again probably in the spring next semester. Anyhow, I do hope I don't fail, but if I do, no biggie actually.

Oh yes, shakes are what i am living off mainly right now. but today i also had some soup. it is weird, the swollen cheek should already go back to normal i think, but it doesn't... ah well...

oh. i want cookies too. not that i could eat them right now. but i could eat them later. i will just have more ice cream. while ago i had mashed apples (no idea how you really call that in english) and vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. not really healthy, but very nice.

Cookies for everyone. They're actually pretty good...I'm suprised. I'm not exactly what one would call domesticated....aka I NEVER cook....but I'm a nice person...so I'll share my loot with ya'll!! :D

**If you get food poisoning though I had NOTHING to do with it**

hehe i guess i let the others eat first and wait what happens to them...

i actually like cooking sometimes, but i am so lazy. also i make a mess out of the kitchen and never really feel like cleaning up...

Mashed apples in english is Apple Sauce.

MyOwn, I'm sure you made great cookies. Although, with strawberries and chocolate syrup and perhaps other types of food of your choosing, I'd like to find out if your body would taste just as great. :rose:

I can cook, and I can cook well. Although, I also don't like cleaning up afterwards because I already DO wash the dishes.

Today, I was told by numerous people that I need to get laid... as usual.

I agree with them. Which of you lovely ladies wants the job? Probably won't pay you in money, but I could pay you in being a boyfriend? ;) :D

I can answer that for you, Munachi. Mashed apples=applesauce. That's sounds good right about now. Yummy :D Save me some! I can cook a little bit.

What a boring day. I wish I can find some way to get out of the house.

*sends apple sauce and whipped cream*

eating the same thing today... at work now, unfortunately there is no dinner here today... but at least it's quiet.

as for getting laid - i have been meaning to call my somewhat fuck buddy like friend in a few days now, but am a bit embarrassed at how my face looks... hope i am back to normal soon...
