USS Dark Fire (IC)

Stardate 29870520.1845

Alpha Point:

“Release me, or more of you will die. You’re species is weak and cannot defeat us. We are everywhere. You attack our world. We take yours.” Holding it’s weapon aimed at her it gestured to the motionless creatures and the silver blob inside the field. “Release me from this.. containment.”

“Release all of me,” it said, glaring at her.

****

Bravo Point:
Walking around the corner was the Marine that had assaulted Cook, the Armour was older styled. Possibly Mark I, but the left Pauldron indicated ‘Section 31’. Before the Marines could shift position and open fire the New marine had already opened fire. Two weapons, one a Klingon Disrupter that burned shields faster than they could recharge, the other an old Earth Slug thrower.

Two of the Marines died in seconds from head shots, Fluid leaking from their helmets to stain the floor as the new marine started taking hits that ripped chunks from it’s armour. Chunks that turned liquid silver and returned to the main mass.

Charlie Point:
Walking around the corner was the Marine that had assaulted Cook, the Armour was older styled. Possibly Mark II, but the left Pauldron indicated ‘05’.

Opening fire it dropped the shields of one of Sol’s team, the Disrupter dropping a Marines shields long enough for the slug thrower to rip a hole through the Marine’s knee. Screaming in pain, the Marine dropped, but continued firing at the new hostile.

Lt Sol

Zosh watched as one of the marines took a blast to his leg and fell down to his knees. He did not care if the man was a warm blood or cold blood. The man was on his team and no one hurt his team. NO ONE. Loka noticed his reptilian eyes harden and she knew what was coming next.

Lt Blumme provided cover fire, as did the other marines. The dinosaur attacked with the speed and power the parasite marine could not match. Zosh feinted to the left, then struck from the right, his clawed hand raking across the marine arm holding the weapon. The parasite marine’s body reformed quickly. With the wounds closing up as if they had never existed. It countered by trying to aim the weapon back at Zosh. But Zosh anticipated the attack, and grabbed the weapon arm and just tore it off the marine’s body.

However, again his victory was shallow as the arm dissolved away and re-glued back on the parasite marine. The weapon, however, was on the deck. The parasite Marine had another weapon and aim it at Zosh.

Lt Blumme hit the marine’s weapon with two excellent phrase blasts. The weapon was destroyed.

“DARK FIRE, SILVER PARASITE CONTAINMENT FIELD” Loka yelled.

A field surrounded marine.

“Dark Fire… silver parasite containment field around Lt Sol.”

Another field appeared around Zosh.

“Dark Fire can you scan Lt Sol to check for infected?” Loka asked

"No. Lt Blumme. Please note Lt Sol will run out of oxygen in approximately 20 mins" Dark Fire replied

Hora

“Well, since you asked” Hora said “Dark fire, using Captain’s priority one code, all containment field are now… locked.”

She smiled at the parasite guard holding the weapon. “Oops did you say unlock… I miss heard you. I permanently locked all of them. And only I can unlock them. Now, how about we discuss how the federation is attacking your world? As far as I know the federation is currently at peace. Also, I thought your species is from the Andromeda Galaxy”

Alpha Point:

“I don’t need to breath so I will happily wait. The host is inconsequential.” The Security Guard replied. Shooting her with level one in the foot. “I don’t feel it’s pain. I don’t eat, or breathe, or require water.”

‘You’ll die, by suicide, and then decay. And eventually the shield will come down and I’ll kill more of your people.”

“We are from what you call the Andromeda Galaxy, and we have watched bioforms killing and subjugating everything they encounter. We will stop this.”

Bravo point:
“Security Teams, Locations ALPHA, BRAVO, CHARLIE. BACK up Required. Heavy weapons. Protection. Separate and isolate the intruders.”

“Defend the ship and crew Save the Captain.” Dropping to the ground he looked at hs side as darkness consumed him.

“Medical to Bravo point. Commander Reeves is down. Projectile hit.”

Charlie Point:
The isolated Marine melted into silver reforming as a silver ball pressing against the interior of it’s shield, and began to push. Everywhere all at once.

“Containment field integrity 96%,” Dark fire reported.

Lt Blumme

Loka looked into Zosh’s eyes. He was still Zosh. She was sure of it.

“Dark Fire, remove the containment field around Lt Sol.” She ordered

“Sorry, Lt Blumme but Captain Hora has locked all the fields.” Dark Fire replied. Loka reached for her commlink, when Zosh growled “Don’t, the creatures don’t know we can hear what she is saying.”

“But you will die” Loka countered

“I have 20 minutes. I trust the Captain… give her more time” Zosh said

“Dark Fire increase power to the containment field.” Loka ordered

Hora

“AWW” Hora gasped as the phaser cut into her foot. It hurt like hell. Green blood oozing out on the floor.

“Fire another shot… and I’ll have you beamed into space. It is highly unlikely you can go warp speeds as a metal blob” Hora said back, with her teeth clenched from the pain. “Now the federation of planets bioforms don’t kill and subjugate everything they encounter. You can check our databanks. We are a peaceful alliance. You just witness how we handle a first encounter with that bioship. I lost a crewmember and still we did not attack it.” Hora explained.

Parasite controlled Security Guard shot her in her other foot.

“Awww” Hora yelled and fell on her side. Both her feet were bleeding now.

“Release us from containment, NOW” it ordered her

“You know as an Orion it is important I look good. You are ruining my feet for my foot-fetish clients!” Hora replied as tears ran down her face. “Dark Fire, on my death or my command, transport all contained parasite maximum range from the ship.” Hora ordered. “currently you species is the only one killing and trying to subjugate”

“And we will continue until the biological form is eradicated. From this Universe and our own.” It replied before adjusting the setting and stunning her leg. At least it didn’t hurt, but shouldn’t feel it either. So standing would be impossible, as would be charging the officer.

“The Biological form is a parasite, a contagion, that must be eradicated. All that is the Parasite will be removed.” It told her before stunning her other foot.

“You will release us. You will be eradicated.” Pausing it turned and walked to the smaller parasite in their containment field. “Do as you will. Remove us from you ship. It is all the same. You will be eradicated.”

“Scan complete. I can transport the parasite organism from the ship, or to a containment cell at your command, Captain.” Dark Fire told her over her comm badge.

Hora

The parasite creature seemed a bit too willing to be transported away. Something was up. But with both her legs stunned, Hora was running out of options. It seemed like the safe thing to do was beam them into deep space. But the ship would need to drop shields and could be detected. Keeping them onboard was a risk, but it seemed worth it.

“Ok, parasite, I’d still like to resolve this peacefully. But I can’t have you killing crew members. Dark Fire, transport each parasite into separate containment facilities. I don’t want them combining.” Hora ordered

Stardate 29870520.1900
“Compliance,” Dark Fire responded as the liquid silver entities were simultaneously transported to Security, each placed in a separate cell as the highest containment possible was placed upon them.”

“Captain, Commander Reeves is being taken to medical. He was injured by the Secondary Parasite at his location. According to Dr. Grissom, ‘He’s been shot’.”

“Major K’alena Daughter of K’Goz, replaced him at Bravo Point.”

“There are multiple Starfleet and Klingon vessels moving to intercept out current flight path. They are on attack vector’s”

Hora

Hora tapped her commlink “Bridge, Go to Red Alert! Make sure we are still cloaked and get us out of here. Work with astrophysics and find me a planet, moon, and/or nebula to hide on or in. Remember, all warfare is based on deception, Hora out”

“Dark Fire, provide my tricorder information to medical and all science teams. We need to find a way to detect these parasites. Also, they need to figure out a way to stun them, freeze them, or kill them. And finally… can you beam a medical kit to me. I’ve been shot in both legs. Don’t tell medical… their priority is to save Commander Reeves”

Lt Sol

When the parasites beamed away, the containment field around Lt Sol was turned off.

“YES” Loka gasped and wrapped him up in a hug.

“I told you the Captain was going to come through” Zosh said like it was no big deal.

“You are… an egotistical, big-headed, ass sometimes.” Loka sighed in frustration. She had been the one to place him in the containment field and if he had died, she would have felt terrible.

“Why thank you” Zosh replied “Having a big head is a compliant for croco-lamia”

“UGH, Zosh you need to learn more about warmbloods.” Loka commented.

“Do I have too?” Zosh asked. Then the red alert alarm went off.

Stardate 29870520.1915
“Shields, Defensive Grid, Armour Plating, and Cloaking Device all operating at 100%,” Dark Fire reported as a medical team transported in with equipment and a gurney.

“Yes Captain, I disobeyed your instructions. There are sufficient medical staff available to treat you and Commander Reeves simultaneously.”

As the medics treated her Dark Fire continued, “It would be more efficient for me to take over tactical control as I am able to respond more rapidly to attacks. Building precognitive attack simulation on the bridge now. Entering Gas Giant Delta three seven on an elliptic heading three one.”

“Powering down all non essential functions. Do you wish Fighters in launch tubes?” Dark Fire asked. “Scanning hostile Ident’s:

U.S.S. Akira (NCC-62497) (Akira Class Escort)

U.S.S. Excalibur (NCC-26517) (Ambassador Class Heavy Cruiser)

U.S.S. Endeavour (NCC-1768) (Cygnus Class Heavy Scout)

I.K.S. B’Moth (K'T'Inga Class Heavy Cruiser)

I.K.S. D’Nara (Negh'Var Class Warship)

I.K.S. Tah’Kaht (Vor'Cha Class Attack Cruiser)”

“None of the enemy vessels have Trans-warp capability, or the ability to withstand a full barrage from main weapons.”

“It is my recommendation that an offensive attack posture be utilized.”

Hora

Hora was in sickbay one room over from Commander Reeves. The team over her were repairing damaged feet. She was not a good patient. “I don’t care what it takes, just stop the bleeding and wheel me on to the bridge!”

Then she talked sternly to Dark Fire

“Dark Fire, we need to talk about what it means when I give an order” Hora grumbled as the medical team were using multiple regrowth generators on her feet. She knew that the ship had plenty of medical staff. Fixing her own injuries was more about crew morale than medical need. But what was done was done.

“Dark Fire, no fighters in tubes. Be ready to return fire if we are fired at. All shots will be to disable… Minimize any chances of death on those ships. I really just want to hide.”

Then she tapped her commlink to connect to the bridge team.

“Bridge team, Dark Fire will be controlling the ship until I can be sure all the parasite inflicted personnel are contained. I’ll be on the bridge in a few minutes. Dark Fire is going to hide and avoid detection. We return fire only to disable, minimize casualties. Hora Out.” Hora ordered

Her first battle and she was doing it from sickbay without her XO. Not Ideal!

“Doctor, patch up Commander Reeves… and wake him up. As long as it does not kill him, I need him awake in two minutes!” Hora yelled over to where they were treating his slug wound.

Everyone in sickbay was going to hate her. But she needed her XO.

Stardate 29870520.1930

“I Apologize Captain, but due to your elevated carbon dioxide and blood lactate levels I calculated you were in shock and took necessary measures to save your life, that is my duty.”

“Fighters on standby, launch tubes empty. Defensive batteries are charged and ready. Compliance”

“Ill do my best Captain, but from the looks of it the “Projectile” was a parasite that attempted to get to his neocortex before it was beamed out. So it did a lot of damage to him, that I’m in the process of losing. Maybe twenty but that's my fastest. And thirty before he’s conscious.”

“Anything faster and his guts hit the floor as soon as he stands up.” Dr. Grissom told her matter-of-factly. “Somebody get his wife, she might be able to help with his pain.”

“As soon as the Captain can walk, get her out and prep for combat triage.” Grissom ordered. In the medical field Dr. Gilbert “Gil” Grissom was an expert. It’s one reason he was here on this ship.

Hora

2 minutes later Hora got up and walked out of sickbay. She did not have any security escorts anymore and the medical staff was not strong enough to hold her back. She took the turbo lift and moments later she was on the bridge.

“Captain on the bridge” someone called out.

“Dark Fire has the deck and the con.” She replied back as she sat in the captain chair. On the main view screen was the massive Gas Giant Delta three seven. Around them was only space. The ship was cloaked and systems were powered down. They were hiding. Hora was worried that somehow the parasites on her ship were transmitting their location to the attacking ships. But she had to try hiding first.

Then coming out of warp was U.S.S. Akira. It was a beautiful ship. Hora had a few friends that serviced on that ship. Next came U.S.S. Excalibur and U.S.S. Endeavour.

A few more seconds and off their port bow arrived I.K.S. B’Moth, I.K.S. D’Nara, I.K.S. Tah’Kaht

Stardate 29870520.2000

Walking onto the Bridge, Commander Reeves was supported by Dr. L’Sa and Dr. Grissom. He was obviously in pain but the moved him to a chair and he sat looking at the tactical holo display.

The new ships had taken a searching pattern surrounding the gas giant. But their shields were at full power so deep scans or transport of the silver parasite wasn’t possible, if they could even detect one.

As soon as they started firing torpedoes as depth charges it wouldn’t be long before they were found. “Captain, tactical suggestion would be to fire torpedoes into the gas giant to find us, the blasts will cause concussion blasts. The shock waves will reveal us if they get close enough.”

“We could go deeper, or blast out at max speed and hit warp as soon as we’re clear of the Gravity well.” That was critical as any ship entering warp in a gravity well caused worm holes. Albeit temporary but they were devastating to anything around. Including planets and ships. And as long as they wanted to remain non-hostile against the other ships they needed to be aware of the Warp point.

Hora

“Glad you can join us” Hora said as a joke, Reeves could tell she was really glad he was there. She just did not want the rest of the bridge team to know it.

“This is a massive Gas Giant. We have a little time before they find us. I have a few thoughts as well. My first thought is I think we might have an opportunity here. If we can get the most powerful ship to drop their shields. Could we place containment fields around the parasite infected personnel? Or transport them out? Or is there a way, Dark Fire can seduce their ship’s computer… to help isolate the parasites?

I could offer to transport over… that would get them to drop their shields. Under a flag of truce say.

Another idea, in the words of General Verro of Orion “When you are hunting predators, weakness is the best camouflage”. We drop our shields. They want to take this ship… not destroy it. They will send over boarding parties. When they drop their shields. We put up the containment fields.

If those ideas suck, my next idea is can we get parasite detect information to the crews of these ships? Non-infected personnel will start helping us. Maybe a few successful mutinies? There might be a high body count on that idea.

Lastly, we can engage them in a full battle. Knock out their shields… and capture as many parasites as possible.” Hora suggested

“So am I Captain, it’s good to see you walking around as well,” he added with a quirk to his lips. Was he joking? Half the Bridge crew was looking at each other shocked, and even L’Sa raised an eyebrow at his incredible antics.

“The Tah’Kaht – The Attack Cruiser is the biggest hitter here. None of the Federation battleships or attack cruisers are in orbit.”

“Even if we generate the containment fields they won’t hold once they raise shields, and we’d have to drop shield to make the containment fields on another ship.”

“and any removal of our crew to those ships wold mean the loss of our crew. They’d be infected immediately.”

“Sorry Captain, but those idea’s… suck.” he replied wth a small shrug.

“Sending the information may help, they may not even be aware of the infection of the silver parasites. They may not know what’s going on. They may be fully infiltrated.”

“Sorry Captain, I’d recommend gathering more information before we ‘do anything’. And as for a full battle, I think we’d survive, badly damaged, but we might survive. As long as we take out the Vor’Cha Cruiser Tah’Kaht and the Nagh’Var Warship D’Nara first and second. K’T’Inga Cruiser B’Moth Third and then dealers choice on the Federation ships. But The Federation may run once the Klingon ships are down.”

“Depends on how many parasites we’re dealing with.” Reeves told her, “And none of those ships have defensive batteries or dealing with Fighters. Only Capitol Class ships or larger. Nothing small.”

"My final recommendation would be to find out more information, Are they aware of the Parasites, full scans of their ships to find out how many parasites they have on board, and who's affected. We can do that through shields."

"However, the emotionally violent human in me say's lets attack and kill them all," he said. "Although we do hve diplomatic Liasson's aboard as well."

“All my ideas suck?”

Reeve nodded

“You really know how to make a girl feel good.” Hora joked. “Ok, Dark Fire launch 10 cloaked relay probes. Have our communications routed and rerouted through the probes so they will not be able to tell where we are located. As I communicate with the main ship, embed data on how to detect the silver parasites. Oh, and chat up the other ship’s AIs. Let them know about the bad nav data, our little silver friends, and the threat they made against the federation.”

“Probes are launched Captain” Dark Fire “Chat up the other AI’s?”

“Yes, like you are on a date. Find out what they have been seeing, doing, and let them know you are trying to protect the federation” Hora said

“That wouldn’t work” Dark Fire said. “AIs can't share that kind of data without command authority”

“You recently violated a direct order from me. Be creative, and put a coded message in a astro nav chart that only the AI will read. Get it thinking.” Hora suggested

“Probes are in position” Dark Fire replied.

“Broadcast to all ships, but I’ll be addressing my comments to I.K.S. Tah’Kaht” Hora advised.

“IKS Tah’Kaht, This is Captain Hora of USS Dark Fire. How may I be of assistance?” Hora asked

“Captain, I’m not receiving data from, or detecting, any AI’s aboard the Klingon Vessels.” Dark Fire responded just before The Excalibur opened fire and destroyed the final cloaked transmission buoy.

“Captain scans indicate the Excalibur Bridge crew is infested as are other critical positions. Sixty-four percent have been infected.”

U.S.S. Akira 06%, U.S.S. Endeavour 48%, I.K.S. B’Moth is clean of infection, I.K.S. D’Nara 38%, I.K.S. Tah’Kaht is clean of Infection.”

“I am Captain Jo’vak son of Far’gut, Of the Great House of K’rshr. We have been informed by your Starfleet Command that you have stolen that vessel without proper authorization and have committed... mutiny.. against your leadership. Klingon’s didn’t really have a word for Mutiny. To a Klingon she had taken her Captaincy legitimately, if in an unorthodox manner. Most Captains would have dueled for th position, not had a panel blow apart or steal a ship that had no Captain, though the later had occurred in the past in the Klingon Empire. It was rare.

“They request, that you return it and face charges,” He told her. “I would come to your ship and arrest you and... this list... of Officers. Or you can come to my ship and be placed under arrest. I will take Command of your vessel and return it to Deep Star 9, where you will be turned over to the authorities.”

“Or you resist and we destroy this vessel,’ he finished in the usual Klingon manner. With a threat, to him it was just talking, and making a promise of an outcome.

“Captain, all the ships have Primary and secondary weapons primed for Battle, Defensive shield’s at maximum.”

“I have calculated the shield power level for us to punch through their shields and transport the infected crew members from the Hostile ships. Unfortunately, we do not have enough Brig cells to house them separately. Unless we transport the infected crew into space.”

The Silver Parasite had already admitted it could possibly survive, even if the host died - it didn’t need, food, water, or air. And due to it’s non-biological nature it could possibly survive space, even for a short time.

“Captain, the Bioform’s containment has just been shut off. The bio-Form is loose.”

“Captain,” Reeves called. “I recommend the Marines handle the creature. And just kill the damned thing. Or we transport it to one of the other ships. Let them play with it for a while.” Either he was serious, or his near-death experience had affected him, and his jokes were horrible, and getting worse. But his face was grimaced in pain, if the Doctor hadn't given him anything for pain - Likely as he needed clarity of thought on the Bridge - the pain he was in had to be incredible.

L’Sa rested her fingertips of her left hand against the base of his skull and closed her eyes. If this was a mind meld it wasn’t one described in any formal texts or reference books. His eyes closed as he slowed his breathing and entered a calmer, and slightly less pain-filled, state.

Touching images of the two Parasite clean ships in the holo image he turned them yellow, leaving the others Red. The yellow ships would turn Green once they knew if they were friendly or not.

Hora

“Dark Fire, please focus on the USS ships if there are no AI on the Klingon ones.” Hora instructed.

“Commander, please take care of the bio-form as you see fit.” Hora said. She did not understand how the thing got out of its containment.

“Communications channel only with Tah’Kaht, and B’Moth, encrypted, now” Hora asked the commo.

“Captain Jo’vak, please give us a minute to discuss which is better… you coming over here or me going there. In the meantime, your fellow ships will start firing at my ship is a few seconds after I tell you. If you scan your fellow ships for the following liquid metal alloy. Dark Fire, provide scanning data. These are the silver parasite infections. They have infected 6% U.S.S. Akira, 48% U.S.S. Endeavour, I.K.S. B’Moth is clean of infection, 38% I.K.S. D’Nara, and your ship I.K.S. Tah’Kaht is clean as well. They can’t assess old memories so if you asked about a private personal detail… the parasites will not answer correctly.” Hora said. "Level 4 contain fields seem to hold them"

Stardate 29870520.2100

Dark Fire, please focus on the USS ships if there are no AI on the Klingon ones.” Hora instructed.

“Compliance,” Dark Fire responded.

Commander, please take care of the bio-form as you see fit.” Hora said.

“Of course, Captain.” Reeves replied. “Darkfire, Transport the Bio-form from the ship. Take a genetic sample, Brain Matter if possible.”

“Compliance,” Dark Fire replied.

Hora was correct, as soon as she completed her sentence the infected vessels opened fire, eliminating the last of the buoy’s before triangulating on the Dark Fire and opening Fire.

“Shields are depleting at a rate of 12% per minute. At current rate Shields will last 8.33 minutes. Cycling power to enhance shields. Shields depletion eliminated.”

“Hostile vessels, probability of torpedo and escalation of attack, 98.999 percent.” Dark Fire reported. “Evasive maneuvers and counter attack, recommended. Defensive batteries primed."

Hora

“Prepare defensive batteries.” Hora ordered “Commo, repeat my last transmission but now to all ships.”

“Bridge team, when or if we fire… target their engines and weapon systems. I want to minimize causalities. Do not target Tah’Kaht or B’Moth. Prepare transwarp drive” Hora ordered.

“Your last message has been repeated?” The Commo reported.

“Open a hailing channel to Tah’Kaht” Hora ordered

“Captain Jo’vak, As I told you… the parasite don’t want you to discover them. Nevertheless, I can’t beam over with my shields up. Can you order the fleet to stop firing.” Hora asked

Stardate 29870520.2200
“Defensive batteries primed and ready. Target acquisition ready.” Dark Fire replied as the Weapons officer selected targets so they didn’t shot any non hostiles by accident.

“I will do what I can,” The Klingon Captain replied. Moments later his ship altered course and aimed itself at the Federation vessels, firing a quantum torpedo across all three ships bow as the B’Moth moved to the aft (rear) section of the three Federation ships.

The D’Nara was also in the crossfire of the two Klingon vessels and could be blown apart in seconds by them if they tried to do anything.

“They fleet is waiting,” Jo’Vak told her as he reappeared over the comms. “I and a security team will come to your ship. “You will prove to me this.. silver parasite..exists. Or I execute you under Federation and Starfleets orders.” Smiling he bared far to many teeth in a typical Klingon smile.

Hora

“Captain, give me 30 seconds to get to the transporter room and greet you. Showing you the evidence will take a few minutes. As long as no one is firing on my ship, we’ll transmit your investigation and video to all ships.” Hora purposed.

“Commander Reeves, you stay here. But I need Ambassador M’Chel of the Vulcan High Command and Lt Sol at the transporters. We’ll show them the silver parasites in the containment field. If that is not good enough, we’ll replay my tricorder recording, where the asshole shoots me in the feet.” Hora said.

“Oh, and the parasite ships will attack us. In fact, I would not be surprised if one of them detonates their warp core. So don’t let them get close to us. Finally, I have 60 metric ton of disodium in cargo bay 1… use it if you need it” Hora added with a wink. She listen to his thoughts and then departed the bridge.

Captain, give me 30 seconds to get to the transporter room and greet you. Showing you the evidence will take a few minutes. As long as no one is firing on my ship, we’ll transmit your investigation and video to all ships.” Hora purposed.

“Don’t waste my time with delaying tactic’s, or changing your clothes to something less,” Captain Jo’Vak warned her.

Commander Reeves, you stay here. But I need Ambassador M’Chel of the Vulcan High Command and Lt Sol at the transporters. We’ll show them the silver parasites in the containment field. If that is not good enough, we’ll replay my tricorder recording, where the asshole shoots me in the feet.” Hora said.

“Lt. Sol, Ambassador M’Chel, please report to Transporter Three for incomming guests.

Oh, and the parasite ships will attack us. In fact, I would not be surprised if one of them detonates their warp core. So don’t let them get close to us. Finally, I have 60 metric ton of disodium in cargo bay 1… use it if you need it” Hora added with a wink.

“Engineering load Captain Hora’s Disodium into torpedo tubes. She has… sixty metric tonnes in Cargo Bay, so load the torpedoes well. And prepare for multiple spreads across four vectors simultaneously.”

She listen to his thoughts and then departed the bridge.

Sighing Reeves shook his head. She was crazy, but he’d have never thought of using disodium intentionally in a conflict. Maybe a crazy scientist would work, if she could stop fucking everyone and just pick one.

Transporter Three:
Ambassador M'Chel and her Attache were waiting when everyone else arrived.

One the transporter cycle completed Captain Jo'Vak stepped off the pad and glared at Hora, his security team following, their disruptors easily within reach, but not drawn, yet.

Hora made it to the transporter room just before the Klingons materialized. Captain Jo’vak was the biggest Klingon on the pad. He had strong body, big barrel-chest, and long black hair and beard.

He was a pretty hot looking stud. He wore standard Klingon uniform of leather, metal rings and plates, with various Klingon symbols and writing.

Hora knew Klingons were a proud, tradition-bound people who valued honor and combat.

“Malja” (Klingon for hello) Hora said in prefect Klingon. She followed that with “Welcome to USS Dark Fire, sorry the situation could not be more congenial”

“Congenial?” Captain Jo’vak grunted in confusion

“Yes, congenial… meaning pleasant because we could pursue our shared interests or enjoy learning about each other's personal qualities” Hora with a very lusty look in her eyes.

“Are you flirting with me?” Captain Jo’vak asked a bit flattered and surprised.

“Well, you are quite a male and under different circumstances, I might start growling at you, maybe claw you some” Hora said in low wanton voice. But then she became serious “But there is no time for that. This Ambassador M’Chel of the Vulcan High Command, and Lt Sol one of my security officers”

The two greeted the captain

“Now please follow me.” She led the team out of the transporter room and headed towards the contained silver parasites. “The Ambassador and Vice Admiral Roanoke discovered something odd going on and figured out the parasite were infecting people. Capt Marcus, former captain of USS Dark Fire was helping too. However, with his death, they placed me in charge. I had no knowledge of any of this, and have been trying to come up to speed quickly. Then Vice Admiral Roanoke was killed. And suddenly, there were weird order to arrest various members of my crew. Same time they were asking of crew members to arrest me. Crazy. After that failed. They decided to call you and a bunch of other ships in. Ah, the silver parasites are in here, our security facility.” Hora said as she pressed the key pad and the door opened.

The two security personnel stepped aside.

“What cell is the talking parasite in?” Hora asked

“Cell 2” The security person told her.

She walked over to cell two and opened the communication device.

“Hello Parasite, I’d still like to resolve this peacefully. Any thought on how that can be accomplished?” Hora asked her infected security escort.

Stardate 29870520.2230

Hello Parasite, I’d still like to resolve this peacefully. Any thought on how that can be accomplished?” Hora asked her infected security escort.

“Jettison yourself out an airlock, solid.” The Security Guard replied. “I control your ships. I win.”

Turning it ignored Hora and spoke to her Klingon guest. “Hello Jo’vak son of Far’gut, of the Great House of K’rshr is today a good day to die?”

“Because you will die today, You’re all going to die, and I will continue on. And then I wil wear you like a puppet.” And then it smiled. One of those smiles that never reached the eyes and far far wider than any human face could have reached.

“Captain, from what I’ve observed it shares a collective mind, much like the Borg but with more individuality than the Borg. It’s inside the host tapped into the neural and muscular network, and yes, using the human host like a puppet.” The Ambassador commented. “But it’s words are meaningless as long as we listen to the message. It’s inside and wants to kill everyone else.”

“Bah, it’s a crewman that’s insane, kill him and put him out of his misery.” Captain Jo’Vak said
