The reality is that they are NOT serious however. They aren't serious about governance. They aren't serious about law and order. God knows they aren't serious about the economy. They aren't even serious about the border. They're just a bunch of terminally butt hurt self righteous assholes that have no idea how governance actually works. And instead just spew out the same vegetative propaganda they've been spoon fed for 50 years. That is the only thing they are actually serious about - hating and fearing the democrats. That's what they are committed to.
They hate the democrats and liberals more than they love America. That's who they are.

“Unserious” just seem too sanitized (too generous?) when we’re talking about MAGAts.
There are many descriptors.
The reality is that the more extreme ones are often so horrific that many people reject them out of hand. Regardless of truth.

I will refer to Benjamin Franklin, those who are willing to trade liberty for security deserve neither.

The comments on Bezos' op-ed are heavily against him. As in there are maybe one or two out of 100 that agree with him. So far this is my favorite comment, and it is one of the more tame ones:

They aren't conservatives. Frankly after seeing the last 20 years, and even the 10 years prior, I have to wonder what exactly conservative stand for. It is not fiscal conservatism, it is not social conservatism. It is not conservatism at all.
The one unifying force of the conservative seems to be hate and fear of the Democrats and liberals. And that again, is not "conservative".
