Wax Play...have you tried it?

Early in my relationship with my wife we experimented with wax quite a bit. She really enjoyed the wax dripping on her and she loved having it peeled off. I enjoyed it because my wife did. She did it to me a couple of times and I was not body shaving at that time and I found the wax uncomfortable. We did it for a while then it just fell out of our repertoire. Haven’t done it in years. Now that I keep most of my upper body waxed, I am thinking it is something to explore again.

I love wax play, and I agree with the things advised in previous posts; low temp candles or cheap white ones (with 'decorative' candles, pigments can raise the melting temp, beeswax can get seriously hot), start high to give the wax chance to lose some heat (you can always lower to increase it), and experiment on yourself first, so you know what you want and how it feels. As with anything, start slowly and work up, find out what works for you. That way, if you're going to trust someone else with that candle, you can direct them how you want it used.

If done properly, wax play is fucking hot!

Both me and J enjoy it, but getting hot was on the tender bits is a bit much. The lower back, thighs, and underarms though... yum.

We only do it when we are camping though, because that stuff does not come out of sheets and will clog your washing machine faster than anything.

Whose idea was it to use birthday candles?

I have used birthday candles on me. They are super fun. But I can't let them drip, or they would leave a scar. And now that I have read that dripping wax is so awesome, want to try it too. Working on figuring out how to make it drip and not scar or hurt myself.

I would think, if it's scarring you, it's too hot. Try a soy candle, hold it farther away from your body so it has a little time to cool.

I would love to, but they are expensive for me currently, at least the ones online. That's why I am working on alternatives. I have never scarred myself, using birthday candles. I wipe the wax off as soon as it touches my skin. Not a very relaxed way of doing stuff, but it's exciting. I get the delicious anticipation of pain, then a sharp pain and no scar.

While it seems like you did everything correctly and she was a wuss, when someone still feels like the wax is too hot, even though it's not, holding the candle higher up, allowing the wax to cool a bit more as it drops, could help.

It's possible that she was a wuss and you could have helped her through that initial stage of the wax was too hot by doing that. Then, after she has gotten use to it, she probably would have been able to take more, from a closer position.

Always start off from a high spot, maybe three feet away. Then, as she gets use to that, slowly start bringing it down. She might still say ow, but it could be said in a different way...as in pleasure. Sometimes, you just have to help them along.

And, she could have been just a wuss and nothing could have changed that. Shit happens.
