Cops: Woman Holds Up Man During Sex in Moving Car
Amanda Jean Linscott distracted driver in crash
By Mary Papenfuss, Newser Staff

(Newser) – A female robber pulled a gun on a man while they were having sex in a moving car
driven by the victim, police say. The action, not surprisingly, triggered a crash. The slightly
battered 26-year-old Florida woman, Amanda Jean Linscott, fled the scene after the car hit
a palm tree and sailed through the air to tear up two yards in a Charlotte County town, reports
ABC News. Linscott was finally busted yesterday, more than a week after the incident. She sports
a black eye in her mug shot from a punch in the face from her victim during a skirmish in the
vehicle, presumably after the sex, say police.
That's the whole article. I think she's due to appear on "America's Dumbest Criminals" soon, though.

If you want to see her, here's the article with mugshot.

Now that, is multitasking!

ACK! Just saw the pic, she's got the CRAZY EYES!

Hormone levels are back to normal! (Yay Chinese medicine!)

Iron level is back to normal! (Yay iron supplement and red meat!)

You say this as if you expect us to believe it just because you used all caps. ;)
You say this as if you expect us to believe it. Period.

It's like my own personal peanut gallery some days. ;)

Also...

*drumroll*

I am going computer shopping in 10 minutes!!!

Poor old Lappy just can't keep up any more. I'll still use him for writing, because I love the keyboard, but for the Internets? :(

There's more than one Internet? Are the other ones Canadian? In a parallel universe that can only be comprehended by Dr. Sheldon Cooper? Only available in Whatthefukistan?

Today (and yesterday really) I hugged my favorite uncle, who I haven't seen in ten years because of a warrant his sister put out for him. No one ever understood me like he did, and he's always had a way to make me smile just being near him. It felt so good to have my arms around him again, and it feels even better knowing that he is able to cross the river freely again.

Ahh... I finally, finally feel like my life is getting back to normal. Love life? Stabilized. Finances? A-okay. Creativity? Back to normal. Productivity? On the rise.

On top of that, I finally got my acceptance letter into a volunteer English tutoring program I applied to. I start my training (for the tutor portion, I... I speak English just fine :D ) next month. :)

That's awesome! I'd love to do the tutor thing myself, too. Not for English though, obviously. I'll have to look into it after we've moved. :)

I found over 3 liters of yellowfoots (or yellowfeet? Kurokami, I can be your test bunny for English tutoring :)), which means that fall has definitely come here full on. I also found some saffron milk caps and false saffron milk caps (which are perfectly edible, and in fact really yummy despite having false in their name), so soup's on.

I'm completely tired after work and random forest wandering, but the mushrooms are so worth the effort.

Besides, it's Friday!

Going to a bird sanctuary.

I was beaten up by a paradise duck, did a pied piper routine followed by ducks and pukekos. Had a Kaka fly onto my shoulder and stay there while I wandered around for ages. A close encounter with a Kea who was really playful and kept throwing a tin cup at me and would chase it when I threw the cup for it.

Saw a Kiwi and a Tuatara, eels and ducklings and just had an amazing time.

I had forgotten how important it is to get away and just do things for no real reason except to have fun.

One and a half rejections.

Rejection # 1 I wasn't all that upset about. It was nice to even be considered, and I don't think the manager & I would see eye to eye, anyway.

The 1/2 rejection was actually really nice, because the *only* reason I wasn't offered a third interview/position, was because of my schedule. I have to have one weekend a month for the short ones, and they couldn't figure out how to make it work.

Of course; no problem. I recognize the difficulties my schedule presents, and am so thankful and appreciative of even being considered. I'd like to stay in touch in case anything changes, and if the schedule can ever be worked out, I'd still dearly love to work with their company.

... Actually, they were still really interested. Would I consider a PT position? And 3 hours later the Director of Stores (US) was on the phone requesting an interview when he's in town next week.

So I still got interview # 3 with one of my top choices, a less than ideal situation eliminated itself, and I have interview #5 with another top choice in the morning.

:)

Being told how much he appreciated my help with the mundane. It's always nice to be appreciated for what you contribute.

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and forget what really matters to you. When Candy [Chang] lost someone she loved very much, she thought about death a lot. This helped clarify her life but she struggled to maintain perspective. She wanted to know what was important to the people around her. So with help from old and new friends, she turned the side of an abandoned house in her neighborhood in New Orleans into a giant chalkboard and stenciled it with the sentence “Before I die I want to _______.” so anyone walking by can pick up a piece of chalk, reflect on their lives, and share their personal aspirations in public space.

I live in one of the poorest per capita communities in the U.S., though it's also one with a lot of pride and spirit in many of its younger members. I would love to see a Before I Die wall for them here. It could be a marvelous motivation.

There are some wonderful pictures on the webpage linked through the headline above. Check them out.

Ok, so it's totally materialistic and narcissistic but...

Finding a $600 dress marked down to only $60 and having said dress actually make me feel good instead of like an overweight tomboy who raided some much more stylish lady's cast offs.

:D

Right on! (I had a boyfriend that resembles that remark! Can you say "stalker"? )

My day started with eldest daughter's email... she finally got around to checking out NaNoWriMo, registered on the website, and plans to use it as motivation to write (and publish) her first ever novel.

:D
