Willing to edit

im doing alrite. slacking honestly.

A little bit of slacking is needed from time to time. :D

Glad to hear from you as well.

Well - I submitted my non-con yesterday - so in about a week - we'll see what the boards say...

Thanks again to all that read it and gave feedback. I appreciate you! :)

*Hugs all around*

my story should be up any day now, and the follow up for the incest shortly after that. i swear i thought my story would be up today, but i think tomorrow would be a better day for it, the site is like a dead-zone on the weekend

ok all....my first anon feedback on my first story.....disconcerting to say the least, but i got help and i'm better than i was...

I HATE stories that end with "To be continued" or in some other way
indicate that this is only the first chapter without informing the readers
of this important fact BEFORE they open the fucking thing. I hate it
so much that, after years of putting up with this shit, I decided that
all such stories get an automatic rating of one (1).

Since it is obvious that you don't give a fuck about the readers nor
your own story, you have no right to be pissed about this. Also, being a
newbie is no excuse.

I can understand the sentiment, but I'm new at showing others my writing and I want feedback. I'm not going to put stuff out that nobody reads. To not waste anyone's time I'll ask, "do you want this to continue?" if no one says "yes", then I'm not going to waste my time.

PS: I haven't posted yet, but want to (do I really need an editor) or can I post a story with the added bit "suggestions appreciated"?

No, you have to have an editor. The fact of the matter is, you can not please everyone, and the suggestions will be overwhelming. I am not sorry that I put that at the bottom of my story. It was a good place to stop, so I stopped. It upsetme at the time, but i've gotten over it.

It's hard to get an editor to begin with, and I only recently had one agree to edit for me. My stories are very clean, but I do have typos and missed words in my stories. The fact of the matter is, no matter how many times you read the story, you are still reading it from your head more than the page. You need someone that's not already inside your head to give you a fresh look.

There is a volunteer editor page here, people have differing opinions on it. Many of the people there have either quit coming and never bothered to take their names off, or are only "avid readers" with little knowledge of actual grammar, flow, continuity and voice. Others there are already overrun with stories and can't keep up with what they have.

You can always go to the "Story Feedback" forum, copy/paste your story there and ask what they think of the story. DO NOT ask for editing advice there, it is not an editing forum. However, there are people who read there regularly and they will be happy to tell you if you need to come back here for an editor. :)

A story takes anywhere from 3-10 days to be posted with 5-7 days being average. If you are not in a hurry, I will be able to look at it the first or second week of May, but that is honestly the best I can do. I already have stories backed up on me, I am finishing out a semester of school, and I write and submit my own stories.

I think I saw a post in here for someone who had edited one story already and was looking for another one. If you want someone faster than me, ask that person. If you are unsure of the person, you can tell him you will be having someone else look at it as well. You must tell him upfront, so that if the new editor changes something, they will not be unhappily surprised by the changes made. (plus it's common courtesy)

Post here with more questions and I will answer as they come in.

I'm off for the night. Good luck :rose:

Thanx for everything

I agree with everything you're saying. Good luck with exams.

I'll keep looking for an editor and if I can't find one 2.5, 3 weeks, I'll PM you and see if you still can after the semester is over.

do your pm thing...i'm ready to go to sleep..but if you need help, i'll try again

its late, but i ill try to read the 2nd one tomorow

sorry about the story thing to. i slack to much:( it worries me.

Don't worry. No one is sending you a check. Get it done when you get it done. That should be good enough. :)

no, not a lot of action anywhere it seems like. I come back to do a little chatting, but mostly I'm doing my homework. I'll be able to pick up more here after the semester is over.

hey all....latest installment of Eirin came out this morning. link to my submissions is in my sig:D

yes, well, then you will be extra doubly happy, because #3 came out today :)

that means i have to get my ass in gear and write #5, or else there will be a huge lag until it comes out....i'm afraid there will be anyway, because i tried to write last night and wasn't successful
