For me, about half of the PMs I receive are decent. The rest are creepy, way too pervy, and/or illiterate. When did punctuation and capitalization stop being a part of communicating with the written English language?? Without it, I presume the writer is either in his early 20s or an idiot, neither of which are categories I'm interested in.

When I first started playing MMORPG's, I was shocked at how many males played female characters. I thought at first they wanted other guys to flirt with them, and then I figured out they just wanted to look at the female toon. If it was super slutty looking, it was almost guaranteed to be a male playing it.

Yesterday, I got a copied-and-pasted PM, actually for the third time, from someone that I had corresponded with for about a week back in April. I got the exact same PM that he had sent to me originally, and then at the beginning of May, and then again yesterday. I called him on it... really? He must send them out at the beginning of the month...lol! Just keep a list or a data base or something of who you send mass intros to...

I just took my avatar down a few hours ago.


It was a pic of me topless but tasteful enough I thought, and didn't show my face.

I had a signature that said "if you are not 100% sure I want your PM don't send it" which did help weed out the weirdos a bit.

This one guy sent me a couple of PMs - one a kind of smart ass sounding response to my sig and the next PM a wink (only). I didn't reply to either.

Then I received this PM from him:

"How's that working out for you . . .
. . . pretending to be a girl? Next time you post I'm going to bust your ass and expose you as a fraud. (try Googling 'your' AV)
Go away. Come back as an honest Litster."

Of course that really upsets me because its my pic, so I think that it must have been stolen off here and put up somewhere - so I send back a wtf message and immediately take down my AV.

Then the moron is really apologetic and bummed that I took down my AV.

What did he think would happen?
