πŸ†β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ† Dicknations for Sassy! Updates & Get Well Wang πŸ†β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ†

Thank you everybody I promise to stop and leave some more when I have more energy. I finally got my energy to taken out today and I'm so happy to drink water again I lost 10 lb in the last week. I will say that getting that tube taken out is really gross. But I am just happy to have water again. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. ❀️
Yay, no more tube and so happy to hear your energy is returning along with being able to drink water again, Sassy! πŸ€—πŸŒΉβ€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

Bit of an update regarding Sassy.

She's not doing too well at the minute - she's quite sick and from her words, sounds congested too. She's been sleeping lots which obviously is good. She also says she's been given every medication under the roof. Hoping she feels better in the next day or two as the pain gets under control.

So many updates and I don't even know where to begin. I had a really rough couple days when they decided to take out the NG tube in my nose and the epidural. I was in so much pain that I was unable to function. I started feeling a little bit better and getting out and walking around more and once the NG tube came out it was nice because I could finally drink water. But I just had no desire to eat. No matter how much I wanted to I couldn't.
I am still struggling to eat so they had to put a Picc line in me so I can still get my nutrients.
Lol At wonky's "congested" sassy was constipated and felt like dying for 3 days. 2 1/2 days of enemas every 6 hours had both ends angry. I couldn't stop puking/ dry heaving. They wanted to do a 4th i said no more. So I now have bags of nutrition following me everywhere
Recovery has been slow and i won't get to go home until we know my GI system has woken.
Over all. I am feeling okay. Old and broken and very tired. But happy to be alive for another day of watching my grandson chasing his toes on the end of my bed. ❀️

Thank you again for all the love and support. ❀️❀️❀️❀️
Thank you @AWonkyDonkey for the updates and @LadyLascivious1 for the fucking amazing thoughtfulness! ⚘️⚘️

Damn, Sassy, you are really getting run through it, but you sound like your head is in the right place.
Little victories.
You will be home soon and feeling betterβ€”if even only a little. Day by day, better and better.
This is horrible, but you are going to get through it. You will!

Happy days are coming. ❀️

Hopefully your GI system will wake up and you can go home soon. Hospitals are no place to rest and heal unfortunately. All the well wishes in the world for you!

Thank you for the update.
I'm sorry you've had a couple of rough days. I hope it gets better and you continue to make progress.
And I'm glad your grandson is chasing his toes.

Keeping you in my thoughts.

Well. I at lease got 1 drain tube out tonight and tomorrow they will try and stop my nutrition bag to see if I'm getting enough nutrients to go without the bag. They also want to be able to check my blood sugar without fake nutrition. I can't go home until I can manage my own blood sugars and when I'm using fake nutrition that doesn't help.

The doctor asked me what it felt like to have a drain tube pulled out. The only thing I could tell him was that I can only imagine it feels like a really big tapeworm being pulled out of your ass. 🀒

I admit it makes a big difference when I can feel at least a little bit more mobile. Taking away one or two different lines for my IV pole made a big difference. Not having leaky drains so I could actually walk around. Made a big difference. I definitely had one of those days where I needed a little bit of a pity party but in the end I got enough good news that I think that I will end the night on a better note than I started

If anyone deserves a pity party it’s you. ❀️
You probably can’t see it now, but there is pure magic ahead, Sassy.
I hope you’re getting lots of hugs and head rubs!

One of the few times I’ve ever been truly grossed out occurred in Comparative Anatomy class and involved a tapeworm. I still have an involuntary skeeved out shiver just thinking about it 🀒

One less tube, a bit more mobility, and cute grandson antics sound like wins for the day ❀️

You know, it's OK to have a pity party now and again.
I'm glad the news was good and mobility is increasing.
And hmmm...a tapeworm pulled from you ass??? NMK, but who am I to judge... :p

Well they came in this morning to let me know that if they stop the nutrition bag and I can eat enough to sustain my own nutrients then they will let me go home tomorrow. I should be getting my other drain out tonight and I can officially finally take a shower. By tomorrow I will be able to get my Staples taken out. And then if all looks good they will send me home. 2 weeks in the hospital is not an experience I wish to replay.

I am so glad you have reached this point and can go home. I bet a shower is going to feel like Heaven too
